Lot 262

2004 Aston Martin DB9 Transmission: automaticMileage:74028The sleek superformed aluminium body of the DB9 was initially designed by Ian Callum but had also been significantly influenced by the next director of AM design, Hendrik Fisker. It was powered by a third generation version of the now familiar 6.0 litre, V12 and has a top speed of 186mph. The DB9 was the first of what was to become a long line of production Aston Martins to use VH architecture; using superformed parts in the chassis and footwell as well as the body panels. The individual die-cast, extruded or stamped aluminium elements of the VH platform are bonded with strong adhesives and self-piercing rivets to make a lightweight but stiff backbone. The DB9 body shell weighed 25% less than that of the DB7 but has double its torsional rigidity. This process also allowed Aston Martin to retain high levels of engineering accuracy in producing a car at a higher volume, ensuring chassis performance to match the engine power. Aston Martins have always made the interior of their cars to be very special places. The fine detail of finishing is typified by the starter button made of glass and sand etched with the Aston Martin wings logo. This example is presented in dark metallic blue with cream leather interior, which is arguably the best colour combination. It comes with a service record from 2004 to 2017 where it shows servicing from various Aston Martin specialists. The present owner has had the car professionally stored whiles in his ownership and hardly driven it hence his decision to sell. These cars are a joy to drive, emitting a very throaty staccato sound from the characterful V12 engine, whether cruising on a wave of torque or wringing it out in fast road driving. This fabulous sports car can now be purchased at a fraction of its original sale price when new and still looks stunning.

Lot 231

2000 Aston Martin DB7 Vantage Volante Transmission: automaticMileage:24238Introduced in 1993 to the public, the handsome new DB7 was styled by Ian Callum, its lines were evocative of earlier Aston Martin models and elements of the DB4/5/6 could be seen in its design. Arguably one of the most attractive looking cars ever produced by Aston Martin, the DB7 was well received and attracted new customers worldwide with its traditional layout of the curvaceous two-door coupé body. At the Geneva Motor Show in 1999, Aston Martin introduced the six litre Cosworth-designed and built V12 engine, developing 420bhp and accelerating from 0-60mph in 4.9 seconds with a top speed limited to 185mph. Ian Callum enlarged the grille, added fog lamps and restyled the valances to give the car a more aggressive look. This fabulous example is presented in light metallic blue with a blue and cream leather interior, both of which are in superb condition. The car has a good service history from 2000 to 2023 including all MoT test certificates right up until the present day, although there is a letter on file to explain a slight discrepancy to the mileage on one of the MoT test certificates which was human error at the MoT station! There is also a wind breaker and a hood cover which comes with the car. All the wood, leather and interior are superb! These are rare and highly sought-after sports cars which are drop dead gorgeous and with its V12 engine providing the power, it has the performance to match!

Lot 175

1971 Aston Martin DBS V8 Banham Convertible Transmission: manualMileage:79500With the demise of the DB6 Mk. II Volante in 1970, Aston Martin were not able to offer a convertible motorcar until 1977 with the introduction of the V8 Volante. This presented a niche in the market; there are always wealthy customers with a desire for something unique and unusual. Paul Banham and his company, Banham Conversions (Banmoco) became well known for their cabriolet conversions on Aston Martin, Rolls-Royce, Ferrari, Daimler and Jaguar cars. The company was perhaps most noted for their stylish conversion on the Jaguar XJ-S. Sadly the company went out of business in 2004.This lovely example is presented in British Racing Green with a beige leather interior and matching beige hood. Its iconic V8 engine is mated to a manual gearbox and it has electric windows and a radio. The car has a nice history going as far back as 1984, which also includes a list of the owners and the years it exchanged hands. The present owner bought this rare DBS V8 Aston Martin in 1989 and it was at that time the car was sent to Banham Motors Ltd to be converted to a soft top when the mileage was 74,978. The car was stored from 1991 to 2022 in an air conditioned unit and was recommissioned by Slark Motors in Bristol in 2023. It had its outer wheel lips power coated and the car was polished to the condition it is shown today which looks fabulous. These are rare cars indeed and with the Banham conversion and manual gearbox, this particular Aston Martin DBS is very sought-after and turns heads wherever it is driven.

Lot 236

2001 Aston Martin DB7 Vantage Transmission: automaticMileage:47500Launched at the Geneva Motor Show in 1993, the Ian Callum styled DB7 began production in 1994 at a new factory in Bloxham, Oxfordshire. It was engineered in conjunction with Tom Walkinshaw's TWR group who built the new supercharged six-cylinder engine. In 1999, the new DB7 Vantage with a V12 engine was revealed. It didn't just bring a new powertrain but more aggressive styling with a bigger front grille, new fog, side and indicator lights and imposing 18" wheels.Presented in Canna Di Fucile, a Ferrari colourway commonly referred to as CDF, with a black leather trim and charcoal piping which matches the carpets and the dash is finished with walnut veneer, this 2001 Vantage boasts just 47,500 miles from new. The bodywork is described as very good with the wheels equally unmarked and a bonus in a classic car, the radio has been uprated to accommodate Bluetooth mobile phone connectivity. The history boasts a comprehensive Aston Martin dealer and specialist service history but for a few gaps in the earlier years when our vendor believers the car was SORN, also found in the file is the original Aston Martin communication confirming the desirable colour combination. Recent works include all 12 coil packs replaced in 2019 and in July 2020 the underside rust protection was renewed, front suspension overhauled, and lower wishbone bushes and road springs replaced along with the alternator, the spring pans, radius arm bushes and N/S/R and O/S/R outer fulcrum bearings. The Vapour management valves, and purge valves were replaced in November 2021 and the handbrake system was overhauled coupled to new shoes in September 2021. In October 2022, the idler pulley, tensioner belt drive, FEAD drive belt and flat Idler pulley were all replaced with the gear selector lever and assembly along with the front O/S subframe v-mounts and engine earth cable. Today the V12 DB7 is still an achingly gorgeous sportscar and this example is specified in an unusually subtle colour combination. Very attractively priced, this is a stunning example of a collectable Aston Martin.

Lot 214

2007 Aston Martin Vanquish S Ultimate Edition Transmission: automaticMileage:9384These extremely rare, limited edition, Aston Martins were made to celebrate the end of the production of the last handbuilt car to be produced at Newport Pagnell in July 2007 after 49 years of operations. Aston Martin took the decision to produce the Vanquish S Ultimate Edition, fittingly called the Ultimate Edition. Aston Martin announced that the last 50 cars built would have a new 'Ultimate Black' exterior colour, upgraded interior, and personalised sill plaques of which only 20 were in right hand drive. This superb example, presented of course in 'Ultimate Black' exterior with a black interior and white stitching and white dials on the dash, as per all of these exclusive models when manufactured. It comes with a full Aston Martin service history, all its original books and copies of the original purchase invoice (£195,000) and build specification. With only 20 right hand drive examples of this exclusive model made, rarity is the first word which springs to mind and accompanied by stunning looks, shattering performance and desirability all make for a great investment.

Lot 252

1965 David Brown Tractor Transmission: manualMileage:57851Probably better known for his ownership of Aston Martin from 1947 to 1972, David Brown become M.D. of the family business, David Brown Gear Company Ltd in 1931. He turned to tractor manufacturing in 1936 in collaboration with Harry Ferguson, manufacturing the Ferguson-Brown tractor in West Yorkshire. The company broke new ground which others were only to follow later, but being a pioneering company ultimately led to its downfall. The Ferguson-Brown had many innovative features, including the use of cast alloy for many components which was light but prone to damage. David Brown Ltd became one of the largest manufacturers of tractors, however the owner's continued subsidisation of Aston Martin was unsustainable, and the sports car maker was sold in 1972. The tractor division was purchased by Tenneco International and re-badged the product as 'Case'.Manufactured in 1965, this tractor is thought to have spent its early life working on farms up until the early 90's. This tractor has been restored to a good standard and we are led to believe the work was undertaken in the early 2000's by its then owner, since the restoration the tractor has been used sparingly and used more as a working ornament than as an agricultural tractor hence its colourway. Boasting a new battery, the three-cylinder diesel engine started on the button during our visit, this tractor is one not to be missed and is ready to be used.Estimate £3,000-£7,000

Registration R373 LVEChassis Number SCBZK25C8WCX61675Odometer reading35,000 milesNumber two of just seven Symbolic Edition420bhp Widebody exampleFinished in special order Mendip BlueThe Bentley Azure was launched in 1995 and was based on the platform of the Continental R which had been launched in 1991. The Azure intended to both convey a sense of presence and allow for comfortable seating of four adult passengers. Power came from the company's stalwart 6.75 litre, V8 featuring a single intercooled turbocharger. The gearbox was a General Motors sourced four-speed automatic unit with the Azure capable of 0-60mph in an impressive 6.1 seconds. Owing to the limited space at Bentley's Crewe factory, the Azure was designed and manufactured by Pininfarina, significantly adding to the vehicle's production cost. This unique and desirable Azure Symbolic Edition is finished in a special-order Mendip Blue (an Aston Martin colour) in deviation from the black that the other six cars were finished in with magnolia leather hide interior. A milliner commissioned example; this car had a number of non-standard features spanning two pages on the supplied specification details report. Sitting on 18” chrome wheels this example also boasts the T-style console, Burr walnut veneers, the removal of side repeater flashers, flared arches, Bentley wings in the door waist rails and an uprated 420bhp engine boasting 875nm of torque to mention but a few of the non-standard features from new. The car was originally supplied to Bentley San Diego on 1st May 1998 and imported to the UK in 2018 from Florida with 13,000 miles on the clock, where the seller claimed it had just had a $10,000 overhaul including the replacement of the hood hydraulic lines. Since its arrival in the UK, the car has been cared for by Bowling-Ryan Ltd, Rolls-Royce and Bentley specialists in Bolton with the most and recent service in August 2022 coupled to previous services in 2018 and 2020. Supplied with handbooks, an MoT test certificate with no advisories and valid until April 2024, this is not only one of the best cars to cruise the French Riviera but it is uniquely specified and rare which increases its potential for strong collectable values in the future.

Lot 227

2007 Aston Martin V8 Vantage Volante Transmission: paddleMileage:49124Featuring a bonded aluminium structure for strength and lightness, the V8 Vantage introduced Aston's new automated/manual gearbox option, the Sportshift. This added electro-hydraulic control to the existing six-speed manual gearbox to offer improved shift times and replaced the conventional manual gear lever with push button controls and paddles on the steering wheel. The Vantage was an immediate success with some dealer estimated a three-year waiting list by the time the car was first shown. It would later go on to receive Jeremy Clarkson's 2005 Best Sounding Car of the Year and now considered one of the best-looking cars of all time and become an undisputed modern classic with values rising over the last 12 months.Supplied with just two previous owners and a full Aston Martin main agent and subsequent specialist service history, this desirable example is supplied with Onyx Black coachwork with a matching Obsidian Black leather interior, contrasting white stitching and a black mohair hood. The condition, when viewed, was excellent throughout and powered by the hugely flexible V8, 4.3 litre engine mated to a 'Sportshift' gearbox. It starts beautifully and, as you would expect, sounded just as good. Another item to note is that it comes equipped with a factory-fitted, fob-operated, exhaust gate button that opens the taps to free extra decibels when required. Just the thing as you approach a long stretch of mountain tunnel! In 2016, the car had a replacement clutch fitted and has covered just 6,000 entirely trouble-free miles since.Service record2006 PDI Brentwood Aston Martin 2008 9439m Stratstone Western Avenue2009 13,187m Stratstone Western Avenue2010 17,861m Harwoods Aston Martin2011 22,277m Harwoods Aston Martin2012 26,613m Harwoods Aston Martin2013 30,972m Harwoods Aston Martin2014 34,577m Harwoods Aston Martin2015 37,243m Harwoods Aston Martin2016 42,090m McGurk Performance Cars2017 45,996m McGurk Performance Cars2019 47,938m Hofmann's of Henley2023 49,124m Oselli Engineering Ltd

Lot 266

2002 Aston Martin Vanquish Transmission: automaticMileage:42512Launched at the Geneva motor show in 2001 the Aston Martin Vanquish was hailed as "The ultimate Grand Tourer" powered by a DOHC four-valve per cylinder V12 engine producing 460bhp. It could propel the car from 0“60 mph in under five seconds and reach a top speed exceeding 190mph. It was instantly immortalised further by featuring in the 2002 James Bond movie Die Another Day.This Vanquish presents beautifully and has been in the care of our vendor since 2009.
