1954 Aston Martin DB2/4Registration no. OXW 86Chassis no. LML633Odometer Reading: circa 87,838MoT Expiry: Exempt *Much potential – restore or preserve?*Engine rebuilt in 2008*Very good history Showing a believed-genuine circa 87,838 miles on the clock, MPH's matching-numbers (engine/chassis) DB2/4 was bought by the now-deceased owner in August 1985 from Nigel Dawes. Initially the car was used regularly, prior to going into storage for the last six-or-so years. Its mileage is backed by old MoT test certificates and the interior, described as being in good original order, backs that up. The engine was rebuilt in around 2008 by Volkspeed Engineering: there are supporting invoices and photographs in the history file. Other bills are included from Aston Service Dorset, Davron and Timothy Stamper. After six years in storage some re-commissioning and attention to bodywork and chassis will be required, but the new owner has the choice of either adopting the currently en vogue 'oily rag' approach or taking this opportunity to effect a full, concours restoration. This early, DBS has is reported as having generally good bodywork, paint and trim, and it's Olive Green metallic paint suits the shape well. The Fawn Connolly leather seating and remainder of the interior is tidy throughout. 1972 Aston Martin AM VantageRegistration no. PUA 284LChassis no. AM/6035/RAOdometer Reading: 67,886MoT Expiry: TBA *Long-term ownership*Fine colour combination*Manual gearboxOne of Aston Martin's rarer post-war models, only 70 of these six-cylinder Vantages were produced between May 1972 and July 1973. In one family's ownership since the 1980s, our marque restoration specialist vendor says this Vantage is in un-restored condition, bar a bare-metal re-paint in Ascot Grey, which is reported as being undertaken in 1999. The bodywork, trim and paint are said to be very good. The vendor says carpets, dashboard and door cards (blue) are very good, the matching blue seats, headlining and trim are good. He also says the engine ranks as very good when it comes to starting and running, mechanical components and engine bay presentation as good. Running gear (gearbox, clutch, suspension and brakes) and the electrical system are also regarded as good.An early example of the AM Vantage in a very appealing colour combination, coming from long-term ownership. 1999 Aston Martin DB7 V12 VantageRegistration no. V59 SBWChassis no. SCFAB1232YK300359Odometer Reading: 60,804MOT Expiry: 04/12/2020*Well maintained*Long MoT test*Great way into Aston Martin ownership*Six-speed manual gearbox The DB7's looks are as pleasing today as when it was launched and its graceful appearance hasn't aged as many of its rivals have. MPH is pleased to offer this 1999 example which presents well inside and out and has a comprehensive service history back to its earliest days. Bodily it presents well with very good panels and paint, the latter maintained by specialist who looks after Jaguar's show cars. The interior is good and has mellowed: our vendor says there is cracking over the veneers: cream and red leather seats, dashboard and door cards are in good order and journeys can be whiled away to sounds from the premium audio system but if that doesn't suffice the sports exhaust provides an equally enthralling sound. With an MoT until early December this DB7 appears good value, either as a first entry into Aston Martin ownership or to add to a collection. The manual gearbox makes this a true enthusiast's DB7 and it has a comprehensive service history.Footnotes:Vendor Score Total: 84/100Bidders should note that the automated 100-point Seller's Assessment is provided by each Seller at the point of consignment using the guidelines below, and is not provided, assessed or verified by Bonhams MPH. Supplied by Stratstone of Mayfair on the 21/01/1994 Order confirmation letter in the file from Stratstone confirms that it was the third new Volante built to full 6.3 Widebody specification for registration in the UK Superbly finished in Buckingham Green with a black leather interior piped in Dark Green Substantial service and MOT invoice from Joe Macari in 2011 at 10,486 miles Most recent service in September 2019 at 10,878 miles. MOT valid until 01/10/2020 Original book pack and leather wallet plus supporting history file The Volante (convertible) had been the big seller of the previous generation of AM V8s, so the only surprise was that it took Aston Martin more than two years from the Virage Coupe's introduction to come up with a soft-top sister. The production Virage Volante debuted at the Geneva Motor Show in March 1991, a prototype having been displayed at Birmingham's NEC the previous October. Weighing in at over two tonnes, the open Volante was even heavier than the closed Coupé, itself no lightweight, this increase in weight being accounted for by considerable body strengthening to compensate for the absent roof, plus the extra complication of the power-operated convertible hood. Electrically powered, the latter was beautifully made and incorporated a glass rear window, complete with heated de-misting elements. Mechanically the Volante remained much the same as its closed cousin, though with a slightly lower final drive. However, there was no disguising the fact that the Volante simply lacked 'grunt' and from the outset, Aston engineers began working on the problem. Their solution, ahead of the forthcoming twin-supercharged Vantage, was for the Works Service Department to offer 6.3-litre conversions for the existing 5,340cc V8-engined cars. Introduced in January 1992, this package could cost more than £60,000 (depending on options) and offered increased power whilst offering a menu of modifications to the bodywork, suspension, and brakes. Power was upped to circa 450bhp with an equivalent increase in torque, thanks to boring and stroking the V8 to 6.3-litres, and, to cope, huge ventilated brakes were fitted to all corners along with bigger 'OZ' alloy-wheels/ tyres, all tucked neatly under muscular flared arches. Most crucially, the suspension was uprated, and a conventional de-Dion rear end was fitted, using Watts linkage/radius arm location, whilst at the front the spring rates were increased. The suspension tuning was the work of Rod Mansfield, the legendary Ford SVO engineer. In addition to the wider wheel arches, there were a number of other bodywork modifications, air dams, sills etc. that appeared on the large engined 'Widebody' cars and customers with no need for the 6.3's improved performance but who, nevertheless, appreciated the aggressive looks of the 'Widebody', could order the package's cosmetic items in isolation. Aston Martin themselves recognised this demand, building a number of Volantes to Cosmetic Widebody specification but naturally, it is the genuine factory original Widebody cars that are the more desirable and valuable. Only 26 factory-built Widebody cars were ever produced and further provenance with this car is in the fact that according to the Order Confirmation letter in the file from Stratstone to the purchaser, this is the third new Volante built to full 6.3 specifications for registration in the UK. This lovely example was supplied by Stratstone and first registered on 21/01/1994 to its first owner who lived in Cavendish Square, London which might explain the low mileage. It was finished in the classic Aston colours of Buckingham Green with a black leather interior piped in Dark Green (A3655), Black carpets edged in Dark Green, Green Alcantara headlining with a Black Mohair hood and, as you might expect with a mileage of less than 11,000 from new, remains in wonderful condition. Its first owner parted with the car in 2017 and since then it has been relaxing in a significant private collection. There is a substantial service and MOT invoice from Joe Macari in 2011 in the file at a mileage of 10,486 and the documented MOT history is as follows; 1997 at 7,333, 1999 at 8,105, 2000 at 8,685, 2001 at 9,123, 2004 at 9,668, 2005 at 10,048, 2007 at 10,193, 2008 at 10,312, 2011 at 10,486, 2016 at 10,694. The service record was most recently stamped on 11/09/19 at an indicated mileage of 10,878. The Aston is supplied with its V5C registration document, the current MOT valid until October 2020, the original Bill of Sale showing the final invoice price of £195,236 and a history folder supporting the low mileage. Although the original Virage was not universally admired, the 6.3-litre Widebody was acclaimed by all as the car the Virage should have been all along and this rare, factory-built Volante, in sparkling condition with its tiny mileage must surely represent a serious investment opportunity. The health and safety of both our customers and team remains the utmost priority, we are therefore operating to strict COVID-19 guidelines and full instructions will be given when making your appointment.Very desirable V12, manual gearbox, DB7 with just three former keepers Supplied by Stratstone of Wilmslow on 28/02/2003 in Tungsten Silver with Obsidian leather Full Aston Martin service history (13 stamps) up until 2016 at 43,481 miles Three specialist services since, the most recent at 47,780 miles in September 2019 The current indicated mileage is just over 48,000. Full book pack, service book and spare key New tyres, freshly serviced and the MOT is valid until early October 2020 Aston Martin introduced the long-awaited Vantage version of their successful DB7 in 1999. Sporting a Cosworth-designed, 5.9-litre V12 producing a creamy 420bhp, the car was super-quick and was electronically limited to 185mph. The V12 had a serious appetite for air compared to its 6-cylinder predecessor, demanding a larger intake and other modifications to the frontal airflow were made to aid cooling. Other changes included chassis and braking upgrades to cope with the increased performance, and Ian Callum enlarged the grille, added fog lamps, and restyled the valances to give the car a more purposeful look. This superb example is a V12 Vantage with the very desirable six-speed manual gearbox and was originally supplied by Stratstone of Wilmslow on 28/02/2003 in Tungsten Silver with Obsidian leather. It has been enjoyed by three previous owners and the service records indicate that it's been regularly serviced with 17 stamps in the book, the vast majority by AM, with the most recent by a marque specialist on 18-9-2019 at 47,780 miles. The current MOT is valid until 6-10-2020 and the car is accompanied by the original green leather owner's guide including the service records, the V5C, an MOT History supporting the current mileage of just over 48,000 and a spare key. Front-engined, V12 manual Grand Tourers have seen mounting investor interest over the last few years and this impressively presented DB7 Vantage with its ageless looks, sophisticated colour combination, manual gearbox, immaculate service history and sensible mileage, seems remarkable value for money. Purchased new by its first and only registered keeper on 07/03/1984 via Aston Martin Sales Ltd The owner, the Chairman of the National Bank of Dubai, kept the car at home in London Delivered in Salisbury Blue coachwork with Magnolia hide and automatic transmission Chiltern Aston Martin lightly recommissioned the car in 2016 at a cost of £16,670 Warranted mileage of just 10,550 supported by a comprehensive history file Original owners handbook/service records, AM Heritage Certificate, warranty card, maintenance and service invoices A rare opportunity to purchase an unmolested, low mileage AM V8 in one of the best colour combinations One could describe the Aston Martin V8 Series 4, often titled 'Oscar India' (October Introduction in phonetics), as the 'Mustang that went to Eton'. The exterior, particularly the front, may have had a touch of the Mustang about it but the interior was unmistakably Mayfair. The first Aston Martin in decades to combine sumptuous Connolly leather and polished Walnut facings, the interior of the Oscar India, launched in 1978, provided the driver with all of the comforts of the era and the grunt of the legendary Tadek Marek-designed V8. Compared to the contemporary exotica on offer from Italy, Aston's V8 would cruise unassumingly, with only the burble and the occasional pop from the twin exhausts on the overrun alluding to the turn of speed available under the discreetly bulging bonnet. Few cars genuinely suit an automatic gearbox but the standard Aston V8 is a car that perfectly mates the 5.3-litre V8 to the Chrysler-derived 3-speed Torqueflite automatic gearbox. Gears change with barely a quiver and the kick-down operates without fuss. Purchased new by its first owner and only registered keeper, the Chairman of the National Bank of Dubai, through Aston Martin Sales Ltd., it was delivered on the 06/03/1984 in Salisbury Blue with Magnolia hide, Beige (Onslow) carpeting and automatic transmission. It was maintained by the Aston Martin Works Service department at Newport Pagnell for many years with service invoices on file from 1986, 1987, 1989, 1991 and 1993, by which time the mileage read just 8,696 miles. In keeping with the demands on the time of an international businessman with a substantial collection, the car was little used but correctly stored in a temperature-controlled garage at his residence in Bishops Avenue, one of London's best-known and desirable addresses. The car was latterly maintained by Aston Martin specialist Ian Mason until 2016 when Chiltern Aston Martin were instructed to lightly recommission the car at a cost of £16,670 for various works which included reconditioning the radiator, new coolant hoses, new inlet manifold, vacuum hoses, new front wheel bearings, re-bushed front suspension, rear brake servos, overhauled steering rack and a major service. With the first owner's recent passing, the Aston became available and is offered today as, effectively, a one-owner car, indeed the V5c still shows one registered keeper. The odometer indicates just over 10,550 miles and it's presented to auction with an excellent history file which contains the original owner's handbook, service book, warranty card, AM Heritage Certificate, invoices, tool kit and its current MOT. To conclude, this is a rare opportunity to acquire one of the most original, unmolested and well maintained Aston Martin V8s available. This car's superb condition, interesting provenance, comprehensive history and low mileage sets it apart and it's now ready to grace the finest of collections, or possibly do what V8 Astons do best and head for the open highway. UK-supplied and in private ownership since 2013 Introduced in 1991, the Continental R was the first Bentley in 26 years that did not share its bodywork with a concurrent Rolls-Royce model and was inspired by the very stylish Continental R-Type of the 1950s. The elegant two-door coachwork was styled by John Heffernan and Ken Greenley, a duo whose résumé included sports cars like the Aston Martin Virage. At £175,000, however, this newcomer was one of the world's most expensive cars, although at least it was also one of the fastest. At launch, this latest Continental used the familiar 6.75-litre V8 with a big Garrett turbocharger and an intercooler in the same state of tune as in the Bentley Turbo R. Crewe still declined to provide official power outputs at the time, although it's estimated that around 325bhp was on tap, along with a huge amount of torque. Top speed was governed to 145mph, with 60mph arriving in just 6.6 seconds - all in a car weighing around 2.5 tons, on a 120-inch wheelbase and with an overall length of 17.5 feet! The rest of the Continental R's running gear was also taken from the Turbo R, with fully independent coil-spring suspension (featuring hydropneumatic self-levelling at the rear) and power-hydraulic brakes with ABS, plus variable-assistance power steering. To add to the sporting feel of the newcomer, this was the first Crewe-built automatic-transmission car to have the gear selector in the centre console rather than on the steering column. The selector handle incorporated a Sports button, which would simultaneously quicken the gearbox's reactions and delay upshifts while firming up the suspension. Five years later Bentley introduced a short-wheelbase version dubbed the Continental T that was equipped with an uprated engine developing 420 hp and an impressive 650 foot-pounds of torque available at only 2,200 rpm and it wasn't long before Bentley customers were expressing an interest in equipping the "wide-body" Continental R model with the T's more powerful engine. Shortly afterwards, the Continental R Mulliner was introduced at the 1999 Geneva Salon, its nomenclature paying homage to H.J. Mulliner, the British coachbuilder responsible for the original R-Type's breathtaking fastback bodywork. The R Mulliner's wide-body configuration offered spacious interior elegance restoring the rear legroom lost in the 'T', while the twin-turbocharged V-8 was capable of rocketing the car to a top speed of nearly 170 mph. Individually tailored to customer order, the R Mulliner was Bentley's ultimate 20th-century combination of luxury and performance, produced in a modest quantity of as few as 131 examples. If you plan to use your Bentley to attend Shareholders Meetings and the occasional funeral, this example may not be the car for you and an understated Arnage in respectful Masons Black may be more appropriate, however, if you feel the need to remind the world that 'you have arrived', this striking Continental R Mulliner may well be perfect. Finished in a 'Special Order' Silver enhanced by flared wheel arches, aerodynamic door sills, wing vents and purposeful bumpers, it appears to have been hewn from a block of solid aluminium and finely sculpted by a set-designer from 'Space:1999'. If the car's exterior is rather special then its interior can only be described as dramatic. Bentley offered buyers of the R Mulliner a bit of a free hand when it came to the cars internal specification and, in this case, the car's first owner has created something akin to the control room on 'Moonbase Alpha'. As well as all the traditional Mulliner features including chrome instrument bezels, red starter button and drilled pedals, engined turned-aluminium panels are used extensively on the dashboard and elsewhere in the cockpit and when combined with the single-tone, Mulberry hide used in the bespoke seats, deep-fluted headlining, roll-top and steering wheel, the overall effect is more Lear Jet than passenger car. This example was UK-supplied in right-hand drive (1/46) by P&A Wood during March 2000 and has been in private ownership since 2013 covering a warranted 39,300 miles. The service records show 11 official Bentley Dealer service stamps (most recently by Harwoods in Sussex at 36,486 miles) and during our vendor's ownership the car was entrusted to Frank Dale and Stepsons for minor adjustments, wheel alignment etc and we understand that they felt that it was 'one of the best they had ever seen'. Unique is a word frequently misused but it certainly applies to this 'extrovert' Continental R Mulliner. These desirable models are rightfully stretching their legs in the classic car market, so don't miss out before these rare sporting Bentleys arrive in six-figure territory. J-Series car built in November 1972 and first registered on the 14/01/1973 UK-supplied, right-hand drive, indicating just 58,211 miles (atoc) supported by a detailed history From a private collection and recently subject to a thorough overhaul from "bumper to bumper" Very smart in gleaming Cerise Red with a magnolia leather interior in fine condition Subtly upgraded with modern suspension, stainless exhaust and a Holley carburettor Supplied with a substantial history file including a current MOT, V5c, original handbook, restoration invoices and old photographs Surely one of the most handsome and distinctive sports tourers ever made, the Jensen Interceptor was a fabulous amalgam of Italian style, American muscle and British craftsmanship. Styled by Touring of Milan with some subtle tweaks by Vignale (who also made the first bodies) it was initially powered by a 6,276cc Chrysler V8 driving the rear wheels through a TorqueFlite automatic transmission and had dragster-like performance. A natural rival to the Aston Martin V8, it was equally rare, equally expensive, better made and marginally more potent to boot, making it perhaps the classic car bargain of the modern age. The second generation arrived in 1969 and featured many detail improvements including revised front suspension and brakes, cleaner front end styling and a more modern dashboard. Power was also up slightly to 330bhp and 425lb/ft of torque. Produced between 1971 and 1973, the Interceptor III was the final iteration and represented the pinnacle of Jensen car development. Of the 2,477 Interceptor IIIs produced 1,107 were allocated to RHD markets and we understand that in 2019 just 239 were licenced for road use in the UK. Manufactured in 1972 and first registered on the 14 January 1973, this is a UK supplied, right-hand drive, J-series Interceptor III that has covered a little over 58,000 miles supported by a substantial history file with MOTs dating back to the mid-1970s. Having spent some time looking for the best possible example, our vendor found this car 9-years ago and was impressed by the aforementioned history file and its excellent mechanical condition. He set about an extensive programme of works completing the restoration in 2018 with a high quality 'glass out' bare metal respray in this lovely shade of Cerise. Some sensible upgrades were incorporated into the overhaul including a more modern suspension set up, stainless steel sports exhaust system and a Holley carburettor all working together in unison with the burbling 7.2-litre V8 to provide an exciting and focused driving experience. The Jensen is accompanied by its original handbooks, a wealth of MOTs, invoices for servicing and maintenance over the years, more recent invoices for parts and labour supporting the overhaul and a number of photographs. It's described as 'on the button', presenting and performing very well. Some cars look powerful, some look expensive and a few, a very few, look genuinely beautiful and to achieve all three at once is remarkable. With less than 250 examples believed to have survived in the UK, owning one of these stylish Anglo-American GTs offers access to a rather exclusive club. Launched in 2004, the Vanquish S featured an increase in engine power to 520bhp from 460, revised gear and back axle ratios and a much-improved paddle-shift gear change 1 of only 375, right-hand drive S variants built, this lovely example has covered just 28,300 miles (atoc) A superb combination of Tungsten Silver with Obsidian Black leather and red calipers Very well spec'd with Plus 2 seating, Linn hi-fi, Motorola car phone, and satellite navigation Great history. 11 main dealer stamps, last two at Aston Works Service at Newport Pagnell New discs and tyres plus a full refresh of the underneath three/four years ago Our vendor has generously included cherished registration number VS55 AML in the sale This desirable Aston appears to be guided very sensibly for such a rare car The Vanquish was built in two versions, a two-seater and what became known as the '2+2' with a couple of child-friendly rear seats filling the space that in the two-seater was occupied by a shelf for a golf bag or other luggage. A pleasing blend of up-to-the-minute technology and traditional materials, the interior was dominated by an imposing aluminium centre console extending from fascia to transmission tunnel. Connolly leather upholstery, Wilton carpeting and quilted Alcantara headlining emphasised its Aston Martin heritage for, despite its advanced specification, the Vanquish was built like all other Astons before it, one at a time and by hand. Production ceased in 2007, by which time the model had been upgraded as the Vanquish 'S' and the UK list price had risen to over £185,000. The Vanquish is yet another 'James Bond' Aston Martin, having featured in 'Die Another Day' starring Pierce Brosnan as the eponymous secret agent. The car offered here is an example of the revamped Vanquish 'S' that superseded the original version following its debut at the Paris Auto Show in 2004. Chief upgrade concerned the engine, which now produced 520bhp, an output good enough to whistle the 'S' up to 200mph, a figure only recently exceeded by the Aston 177. The previously optional Sports Dynamic Pack of enhanced steering, suspension and brakes came as standard with the 'S'. It was the last of the line of handbuilt Aston Martins, the last model to be produced at the Newport Pagnell factory and, with only 375 built in right-hand drive, is now a very rare car. At circa £185,000 when new in 2005, exclusivity had its price. Having owned a DB4 for many years, one of the first Aston Martins produced at Newport Parnell, our vendor was keen to bookend his Astons with a Vanquish 'S' the last model to roll out of the factory gates at Newport Pagnell and he commenced a thorough search for the best example he could find. A number of cars were inspected before his search culminated in this lovely example. Its previous owner had intended it to be the centrepiece of a museum in Devon dedicated to "The Best of British", however, in 2013 the plan was changed and a decision was taken to auction the entire collection. Our determined vendor drove 300 miles there and back to test drive the Vanquish which was duly purchased after an active bidding contest. The original auction catalogue is in the history file. Classically finished in Tungsten Silver with Black leather (coincidentally the same as the "Die Another Day" car) it's the practical Plus Two version and was fitted from new with a Linn Hi-Fi, Motorola car phone, Sat-Nav and red brake calipers. Our vendor was particularly attracted by its traceable ownership, being a highly spec'd dealer demonstrator, one family and just two owners together with a full main dealer service history which sealed the deal. An indicated mileage of 23,000 showed that the Aston had seen light regular use and it drove so much better than many much lower mileage examples that he had inspected. Immediately after purchase Vanquish specialists, Bamford Rose, were entrusted with the car with instructions to completely go through it sorting out any niggles and concerns. The Vanquish has been maintained regardless of expense and the most recent couple of services have, reassuringly, been carried out at Aston Works Service. A complete car assessment by Aston Works is included within the large history file. Particular emphasis was placed by the vendor in getting the 'S' driving as it should, which only a few firms can do correctly, particularly the gearbox which has a reputation for being a little recalcitrant, however, this example is now described as "the best he has ever experienced in a Vanquish". The car has just been MOT'd for 12 months (no advisories), was serviced by Aston Works Service less than 150 miles ago and is accompanied by a comprehensive history file. Our vendor has enjoyed the car for a little over 5,000 miles during his ownership, however, with new cars added to his growing collection, the Aston is simply not being used enough and it's time for someone else to experience the pleasure of this delightful, correctly set-up, 520bhp, Vanquish 'S'. The health and safety of both our customers and team remains the utmost priority, we are therefore operating to strict COVID-19 guidelines and full instructions will be given when making your appointment. Bought new by our vendor's father on 01/08/1973 and has remained in the family since One of just 68 right-hand drive examples of the 6-cylinder engined AM Vantage Used sparingly, this matching numbers car has covered just 20,600 miles (atoc) Since inheriting the car in 2016, our vendor has spent over £48,000 on recommissioning Particular attention was paid to the running gear, electrics, engine and body Full, glass-out, respray in Royal Claret Metallic finished with twin gold pinstripes as original The leather is gently worn - the perfect mix of patinated interior and freshly painted exterior Supplied with handbook, Warranty Certificate, historic bills, recent receipts and mileage guarantee. After Sir David Brown's departure, DBS production continued under new owners Company Developments, the car being re-styled with a two-headlamp front end but mechanically remaining much as before. The 4-litre, six-cylinder model was re-named Vantage, a departure from accepted practice, as the term had hitherto been used to denote the high-performance engine option. With independent front suspension, a De Dion rear axle, power-assisted rack and pinion steering, four-wheel disc brakes and propelled by the Tadek Marek-designed 4.0-litre, 6-cylinder engine, it was a capable and refined 'Grand Tourer' that was reputedly capable of over 140mph. A mere 70 of these six-cylinder Vantages were produced between May 1972 and July 1973 with all but two in right-hand drive. This very special, automatic AM Vantage was registered on the 01/08/1973 having been bought by our vendor's late father. The original Warranty Card and completed pre-sale checklist for the car is undated and has a Mr Berry listed as the customer, so we can only surmise this was a cancelled order, and the supplying dealer was Frank Lazenby Ltd. of Leicester. According to HPI records, there have only been two registered keepers, our vendor's father and our vendor when he inherited it. Delivered in Royal Claret Metallic with a black leather interior, it was maintained by Aston Martin main dealers Reg Vardy Specialist Cars. Interestingly, there is a letter within the history file from Sir Peter Vardy, dated 27/03/1979, valuing the car at £9,000! With a successful business and a young family, the Aston was consequently used sparingly and a Reg Vardy service receipt from 1989 states the mileage at 18,282 miles. Now showing, at the time of cataloguing, an odometer reading of 20,593 miles our vendor, having known the car all of his life, has provided a signed statement confirming the validity of the low mileage. After inheriting the Aston in 2016, marque specialists Aston Workshop of Durham were retained to carry out a programme of recommissioning works, whilst sympathetically retaining the interior patina and originality of this matching numbers car. The list of works is extensive and includes a cylinder head overhaul and conversion to unleaded petrol, fitting of new harness carriers, outer sills and jacking points. The front suspension was overhauled as were the brakes and the electrics were attended to with an upgraded alternator, starter, electronic ignition, and negative earth conversion. The glass-out respray in Royal Claret is complemented by twin gold pinstripes as per the original specification, and new seals and fixings were used in the re-fitting process. Completed in 2017, the investment totalled some £48,000 and the car has covered less than 1,000 miles since. Copy schedules of works can be provided via email prior to the sale. As one of the rarest production Aston Martins ever and offered from single-family ownership with very low mileage, this car is an unrepeatable opportunity and is accompanied by a history file that includes the original book pack, Warranty Certificate and both historical receipts, current invoices and signed vendor guarantee of mileage.
