A large green leather upholstered Chesterfield style settee, deep buttoned with loose cushions. Height to top of back 71 cm, length +/- 204 cm, depth +/- 93 cm (see illustration). CONDITION REPORT: Although the hessian underside cover reaches to the corners there are indentations underneath this cover suggesting that the piece might have had bun feet at some point. These would have been turned circular feet that have pushed into the bottom of the piece rather than being screwed on. The leather is in generally good condition with all deep buttoning tight and present. There do not appear to be any holes in the leather. The seat cushions do have considerable wear particularly to the right-hand cushion which is dry and has lost some of the original surface. The centre cushion also has stress marks but not as much as the right-hand cushion. The left-hand cushion is in better condition than the other two. All are serviceable, the right-hand cushion has clearly been sat upon rather more than the other two.
