A Regency mahogany framed settee, of good size and having reeded outline, silk damask Anthemion leaf upholstery, on four ring turned tapering and half-reeded forelegs with brass cup and pot casters, w.193cm, seat d.64cm, seat h.42cm, back h.87cmSome green paint on top rail.Some wear and a split at top of left leg.Centre right leg is quite loose.Split and some wear at top of far right leg.Both arms have a slight wobble.Upholstery is a little worn on the seat.Otherwise generally good condition overall.
A Victorian faded mahogany framed spoon-end settee, having a swept frame and upholstered in a buttonback blue silk damask, w.183cm, seat d.55cm, gross h.94cm Frame has some ‘give’ and is quite wobbly to the right hand side.Timber is quite faded.Some minor losses to the extremities of the carving.The right hand arm scroll appears to have been chewed.The upholstery is faded and dirty, stained to the right hand side and in several places on the seat.Overall in slightly tired condition.
An empire style mahogany framed settee, upholstered in blue fan patterned material and with two loose cushions, raised on sabre legs with brass paw caps. Height to top of back 76 cm, width across arms 214 cm (see illustration). CONDITION REPORT: The settee is structurally sound with no loose joints. The exposed showframe is in good condition all round with only minor scuffs and blemishes as one would expect. The front right hand leg and rear left-hand leg have had breaks close to the metal paw feet. The breaks are sound and secure and there is no movement. The upholstery is generally in good order with only minor blemishes. In our opinion the settee is probably in the region of 40 or so years old.
A very fine carved rosewood and serpentine fronted Settee, the top rail with a cartouche crest issuing leaf sprays above a padded back, sides and seat on front leaf carved turned legs and rear scroll legs, by Williams & Gibton, No: 4630, also with the brass furnishers tag of Anderson, Standford & Ridgeway House Furnishers, Dublin. A rare, early Victorian, solid rosewood double-sided settee,the scroll ends with carved leaf decoration, the back can be fitted on either side, on turned gadrooned legs with brass castors,185cm long66cm wide91cm highThis is unusual as the back is carved on each side and can therefore be fitted on either side of the seat via a mortise and tenon and peg.Condition ReportSquab cushion distorted, some mould residue underneath, upholstery and ticking tired and may need replacing. The scroll on the detachable back has been split horizontally and glued back years ago. Evidence of worm to the underside and carcass, repairs to the legs old knocks and dents splits and joints showing sign of expansion, overall appears solid and usable, casters roll and rotate
A George lll Sheraton period painted settee,c.1790, the frame with intertwined foliate, stiff leaf and faux fluted detail, with turned front supports terminating in brass castors, the back and seat stripped back to the original calico covering, 147cm wide74cm deep90cm highCondition ReportWear, rubbing and loss to paint, which is dry and dirty but seemingly original and largely untouched. Joints separated in places. Castors seized. Rear legs split and with a large repaired chip. Loose upholstery tacks and remnants of various upholstery coverings. A little wobble in joints but generally solid. Overall in fair order and in lovely original condition.

Knocks, scratches, fading and general wear commensurate with age and use. Joints tight. Some dust and light marks to upholstery, but generally in fair order. A length of brass stringing lost to the left-hand arm.

Knole type settee, rectangular back and wings, drop-ends, ball and claw feet, tapestry banded upholstery, length 202cm, depth 88cm, height 95cm.Condition report:The sofa is in generally good condition, the only are for minor work is the right back corner finials are a bit loose in the holes and can therefore come out easily with the side folding down, otherwise the hinges and joints are all good, the seat is reasonably well strung and th current upholstery is good, minor scuffs to the feet.
