A small walnut settee, covered with gros point needlework with flowers and foliage, with scroll arms and on carved cabriole legs and pad feet, early 18th century elements and later, 91.8cm high, 112.5cm wide, 59cm deep. Provenance: From the collection formed by the late The Hon Mrs Daisy Fellowes, Donnington Grove, Berkshire.
A contemporary Ercol ash settee & armchair with spindle backs and sides. Settee dimensions; width 203cm, depth 95cm & height 92cm, chair; width 94cm, depth 95cm & height 92cm. Condition - very good, i can't find any damage to frame, in fact little/no wear, minor marks to upholstery, no unpleasant odour.
A 19th Century Continental carved rosewood settee:, the cartouche-shaped upholstered button down back with central pierced acanthus scroll and anthemion cresting, having padded arm supports and upholstered stuff over serpentine seat with shaped anthemion and foliate scroll ornament, on cabriole legs, terminating in foliate feet with castors.
A Continental carved beechwood bergere settee:, of rectangular shaped outline, the shaped top rail decorated with husks and flowerheads, having a cane panel back and curved sides, the upholstered seat with loose squab and six loose cushions in ivory coloured fabric, having a shaped apron seat rail with palmettes and foliage on scroll decorated feet.
A modern Ercol elm and beech studio settee designed by Lucian Ercolani (1888-1976), with propeller back, on four splayed legs, 81ins wide, unsignedThere are no splits in the wood on the arm rests. In addition to the long cushion in the image, there are five smaller cushions, similarly upholstered, which can be placed along the back and on either side. They comply with fire and safety regulations as they were re-upholstered a few years ago by the vendor.
A striking Japanese carved hardwood settee, c. 1900, the high back pierced and carved in high relief with a dragon, eagle and birds amidst pine trees, the wooden seat with a band of Greek Key between dragon with pearl carved arms and raised on cabriole legs with scroll feet. 137cm by 123cm by 60cm
