A late Victorian Chesterfield settee, of small size, upholstered in foliate and scroll patterned material and raised on short turned front legs terminating in castors. Height 68 cm, width across arms 144 cm (see illustration). CONDITION REPORT: The settee is structurally sound with no loose joints. The covering is in generally very good condition. The settee was in a bedroom and has had little use. Clearly the cover material is not original. The back is a little soft in places but the overall condition is generally good. The feet and castors are original. We can see no woodworm on the visible sections of wood.
An Edwardian settee, upholstered in green floral patterned material and raised on front cabriole legs terminating in claw and ball feet. Height 102 cm, width 124 cm. CONDITION REPORT: The settee is structurally sound with no loose joints. All legs are in good order with no repairs. The upholstery whilst pale is in generally good order with no rubbing or marking around the arms. Being very critical one side may be a little faded. The cushions appear to be down filled. The upholstery is unlikely to be original. The webbing is sound and there are no protruding springs.
A 19th century love seat, with arched back and stuffover seat upholstered in red velvet type material with scroll carved showframe and raised on short feet. Height to top of back 95 cm, width 128 cm (see illustration). CONDITION REPORT: The settee is structurally sound with no loose joints. The arms and back are not loose. The front legs have nibbles around the extremities as one would expect. There are however no repairs to either the legs or stretchers. We can see no evidence of any worm. The upholstery whilst not holed or torn is faded and tired in places. It is a little rubbed across the arms and there are some stains and marks on the seat area. There are no protruding springs and the upholstery is firm.
A George III style mahogany camelback settee, upholstered in cream foliate patterned material and raised on moulded front legs and rear sabre legs. Width across front at legs 183 cm (see illustration). CONDITION REPORT: The settee is structurally sound with no loose joints. The rear legs are in good order as are all stretchers and front legs. There do not appear to be any repairs and there is no evidence of any woodworm. There are no springs protruding from beneath the seat. The upholstery may be original. It is however dirty and marked generally. There are however no holes or tears that we have seen but whether cleaning would help much is debatable.

Width across front at legs 183 cm (see illustration). CONDITION REPORT: This settee is near identical to the Lot 1431. It is structurally very sound with no loose joints. We can see no repairs to the legs or stretchers and no evidence of any woodworm. The upholstery is in generally good condition although a little faded across the top and upper section of the back. There is no difficult ingrained dirt or significant wear on the arm tops but there is some slight discolouration in places possibly sun damage. The upholstery is likely to be original. The cushions appear to be down filled.
