A late Victorian Chesterfield settee, upholstered in cream leather and raised on turned front legs terminating in brass castors. Height to top of back 85 cm, width across arms 184 cm. CONDITION REPORT: The settee is structurally sound with no loose joints. The leather is in generally good order with no splits or tears. There are some minor scuffs and marks to the leather and other areas that are a little dirty. There is a small patch to the centre of the seat with water damage which has removed a small section of the cream surface polish. The legs are all original and have the correct castors. There are no protruding springs. The castors appear to be original. The drop arm is in the up-right position, but we can not get the arm to drop.

A Victorian Chesterfield style settee, upholstered in red partially deep buttoned velvet type material. Height 68 cm, width +/- 194 cm, depth +/- 87 cm. CONDITION REPORT: The settee is in reasonably good order. The legs are all in good condition other than having minor scuffs and marks as one would expect. All castors are missing. The right hand facing arm is a little loose at the joints and moves by approximately 1” when moved from left to right. There is less movement on the left hand facing arm. The seat is a little soft and beginning to sag. The fabric is a little dirty and dusty but does not have any significant wear and there do not appear to be any holes. The fabric to the rear of the settee is a little loose. Thirteen of the deep buttons are missing.
A walnut framed bergere lounge suite, comprising two chairs and settee, each piece with carved exposed showframe and raised on short cabriole legs terminating in claw and ball feet. Height to top of settee back 78 cm, width across arms 190 cm (see illustration). CONDITION REPORT: The suite is in generally fairly good condition. The canework to one chair appears to be in good order with no significant issues. The second chair has some very minor losses to the caning on the back panel but again all panels are sound and serviceable. The left hand outer cane panel on the settee has a small area that is damaged. The rear right hand panel is damaged at the base. The inner arm panel has a small break. We have photographed these areas. With the exception of the left hand settee panel all other minor areas of damage are entirely obscured by the cushions. The cushions and seat panels have clearly been fairly recently recovered and as a consequence are all in very good order with no staining, tears or damage. The arms of both chairs and the settee have very slight movement but not problematically so. The right hand chair upper arm has had a break which has been pegged and professionally repaired. The frame generally is all over faded. The front settee rail is slightly sprung at the right hand side and simply requires refixing. All legs have the usual scuffs and marks that one would expect through use.
