IN THE STYLE OF JOHN TAYLOR FOR GILLOWS; a mahogany framed Grecian style settee with bergère caned back, padded arms and acanthus scroll front supports to lobed tapering front legs, with internal castors width 215cm. CONDITION REPORT: Knocks and bruises to raised parts of frame, one small area of cane work where four holes are damaged, general wear.

A LATE 19TH CENTURY STYLE ANGLO CHINESE CARVED HARDWOOD SEVEN PIECE SUITE, comprising four salon chairs, a pair of elbow chairs and a settee, the wavy top rail above backs carved and pierced with dragons and foliate motifs, serpentine shaped hardwood seat with gadrooned edge, the elbow chairs with beaded edge, foliate carved apron and front cabriole legs, linked by turned stretchers, width of sofa 130cm x height 110cm (7)Condition:The suite is believed to be second half of the 20th Century, there are some areas of wood shrinkage so there are gaps between panels, damage has been photographed as much as has been seen, the wood type is unknown but is very heavy.

A George II carved mahogany double chairback settee in the Irish Chippendale manner, the leaf and cartouche carved top rail with paper scroll terminals and pierced waisted splats with carved florets, the outswept arms with lion's head terminals on leaf carved supports, the padded seat covered in nailed blue damask, over a seat rail with shaped foliate aprons, raised on triple cabriole legs with foliate brackets, the hips carved with lion masks, rings and foliage, on paw feet, 57in. (145cm.) wide, 32in. (81.25cm.) to top of back, 18½in. (47cm.) to seat.
