A fine walnut Dolls House, English 1820s/30s, the front and sides with brick shape etching, decorative columns and finial to each side, central arched dummy front door with two panels, door knob and glazing above, flanked by two glazed arched windows, elegant bay window to first floor with sweeping canopy, window bars and ledges, two oblong windows to top floor, flat roof with protruding cornice and shaped back. Front opens in one wing to three rooms on three levels containing a good selection of mostly modern doll house furniture, ornaments and dolls, kitchen includes wooden dresser, table and chairs, benches, cupboard and spinning wheel, various copper cooking pots, blue and white ceramics, general kitchenalia and cook and kitchen maid modern dolls, parlour with ornate gilt metal marble top table and gilt surround mirror by John J Hodgson, other pieces include Regency style settee and chairs, harp chess table, cased model boat and miniature replica of the dolls house and more, four modern dolls, bedroom with chest of drawers and side table by Dennis Jenvey other pieces include four-poster bed, crib, rocking horse writing desk, ornaments and more, antique shoulder head lady doll and three all bisque fixed neck children (one with damaged foot another chipped), house on a shaped wooded stand (not original to house), house 37 ½” (95cm) high, 19 ¾” (50cm) wide, 16 ½” (42cm) deep. A rare and early 19th century English Dolls House cupboard and contents, the painted natural wood effect exterior with two hinged panelled wings to façade with key hole, the house on three levels and having six evenly sized rooms mostly with good original wall papers, three built in corner fire places (one replaced) and moulded surrounds, kitchen with two shelves to back wall and contents including tinplate stove, wooden kitchen table and chair, turned wood tea service on tray and tureens, tinplate plate stand, tin bath, copper tea urn and various saucepans, plates, jugs and more. Salon with fine Waltershausen pieces including two writing desks, sideboard and sewing table with compartments, circular table with four green silk padded chairs, gilt table two dolls and various ornaments. Study with two Waltershausen settees, tables and hall stand, other pieces include wooden bureau, upright piano, large gilt mirror, four dolls (one damaged) and ornaments. Lounge with Waltershausen Biedermier bookcase, mirrored sideboard with cupboard, set of four chairs, settee and oval table all with ball shaped legs and flower decorated paper lithographed seats and backs, fine early fire screen with ornate beading, bisque head doll and ornaments. An Edwardian gilt framed five-piece French style salon suite comprising two-seat sofa and four side chairs, all upholstered in an Aubusson silk style fabric, bearing retailer's label to the lower frieze of the chairs, 'Scott Morton & Co, Murieston Road, Edinburgh' (5). CONDITION REPORT Sofa - 86 x 117 x 72cmChair - 92 x 45 x 41cmGenerally good condition, the fabric is worn on the settee and some chairs but not too badly, and to the joints. The back uprights of the settee are coming apart along the joins on both side but is solid, All paintwork on all chairs appears scuffed and worn in places, a pretty suite.

A VICTORIAN WALNUT SHOW WOOD FRAMED CONVERSATION SETTEE, having carved shield shaped back central buttoned section, flanked by two button backed rests, on a scrolling frame, and white ceramic castors below, 136cm (seating area width)Condition report: 172cm across the far extent of the upholstered backs, 141cm across the outside parts of the wooden handles. A few dings / dents to wood work, some scratches and wear on raised edges, structure good, centre back section little play, upholstery okay, sprung well, condition okay.
