An Edwardian inlaid mahogany two seater settee, upholstered in green floral patterned material and raised on tapered legs of square section terminating in brass and ceramic castors. CONDITION REPORT: Height to back of seat in centre 88 cm. Width across arms 114 cm. Depth of seat 57 cm. Width across front 115 cm. Height to bottom of seat rail 23 cm. The settee is in structurally very good condition. We can see no evidence of any damage, repairs or restoration. It is structurally solid. The castors are original, the colour is generally good. ~the upholstery is in good order and the piece could be used in its current state without the need for any work.
A fine quality Victorian carved walnut three piece drawing room suite, comprising a double ended button back settee and a gentleman’s armchair, both with open padded arms, and a lady’s nursing/sewing chair, each piece raised on short cabriole legs with scroll toes, with recent high quality re-upholstery. A matched French Louis XVI style salon suite, late 19th century, ebonised and gilt showframe, comprising a settee, four fauteuils, a foot stool and four side chairs, with bas-relief gilded floral carving and half padded moulded scroll arms, raised on cabriole legs with scroll toes, the settee 74in. An Edwardian mahogany mahogany two seater salon settee, the moulded, angular back over slightly swept arms on turned and fluted tapered supports, the stuff over seat in pink silk (a/f), raised on fluted, tapered legs with tapered peg feet, 54½in. (138.5cm.) long, height to back 30¾in. (78cm.).
A Knowle Settee. The high upholstered back, sides and two seat cushions covered in a woven fabric of meandering flowers & foliage edged in braid with tasselled cord tied around corner finials securing the hinged sides, 38 ins (98 cms) high, 59 ins (150 cms) in length, 32 ins (81 cms) in depth.
A Fine Knowle Settee. The upholstered back, hinged sides, sprung seat and three swab cushions covered in faded crimson velvet edged in fringing, with a rectangular panel of 18th century needlework appliquéd to the back. The velvet clad corner finials tied with tasselled cord securing the hinges sides, 36 ins (91 cms) high, 72 ins (183 cms) in length, 36 ins (91 cms) deep.
