GLEN GRANT 20 YEAR OLD DIRECTOR'S RESERVE AND DECANTER SETSingle malt.Glen Grant was the first distillery in Scotland to have electric lighting installed, thanks to its forward-thinking owner, and all-round colourful character, Major James Grant. Grant was an innovator who was one of the first people to realise the potential of exporting whisky abroad. Initially, this paid dividends, and in 1897 The Major began construction of a second distillery across the road. However, as was the case with so many distilleries built around this time, Glen Grant 2 was mothballed after just a few years. Although, it did re-open in 1965 under the name Caperdonich. While it might not be a household name in the UK, Glen Grant is consistently one of the top selling single malts in Italy due to the groundwork laid by legendary importer Armando Giovinetti in the 1960s. It, therefore, seems appropriate that the distillery is now owned by Campari, and Italian company. This fantastic whisky and decanter set was produced in the 1970s.70° Proof / 26 1/3 Fl Oz

Tom White Hand Study, 2022 Oil on Paper Signed on Verso 15 x 10cm (5¾ x 3¾ in.) About Tom White's (b.1995) work revolves around the question of how the artist creates something more viscerally real than a mimetic, photorealistic representation of a person. His practice is rooted in a long-standing fascination with people and painting the figure; specifically, White is interested in how the artist captures an essence of the subject, and the phenomenological presence of sensation in painting. White paints those who are closest to him, marking his works with an indelible emotionality that transports the viewer into the interior of a private moment in time. The paintings allude to an ephemeral narrative; they invite interpretation of and engagement with exactly who, what and where is being depicted. Whether working on a large or smaller scale, the figures in White's paintings are often greater than life-size. This scale lends itself to his painting process which harmonises expressive, gestural marks with more refined areas of painterly precision. Working from his own photographs he exploits the versatility of oil paint as a medium, balancing areas of thinly veiled brushwork with impasto marks to create an emphatic sense of mood and lighting. Henry Woolway We're Almost There, 2022 Acrylic on Panelled Paper Signed on Verso 15 x 10cm (5¾ x 3¾ in.) About Henry Woolway's wide ranging body of work is a candid look at this relationship with life experiences both recent and from his childhood growing up in Cornwall, England. Visually taking aesthetics from Scandinavian and European design and culture as well as Early mid century modern design. This tied in with simplistic and rudimental techniques gives the air of form over function or indeed a linear meaning to his work. Born in Plymouth, England in the late 1980's, Woolway's work reflects on the semi-rural upbringing and the simpler state of life one can take. Through stripping back the substance or noise one can see the simple basic emotions or time locked statements in his work. The use of limited materials and colours allows this personal look back to show more truly whilst still allowing the viewer to understand and find their own meanings. Woolway's oeuvre encompasses paintings, wall hangings, sculptural and and array of works on paper. the physical elements of his more recent works include torn and cut canvas which demonstrates a desire to break from the norm whilst the structure in his pieces shows a longing to conform. This juxtaposition forms the base of his work and is something that runs throughout. Select Exhibitions/Awards Woolway's work has been shown in Liverpool at the Bridewell Gallery in 2020. He has had his work in two auctions with the Auction Collective in London in November 2020 and June 2021. His works have featured in print including House and Garden Dec 2020 and Le Mile in March 2021. Aspirational brands such as Gabriel Scott Lighting have used his work in Advertising campaigns. You must not reproduce, duplicate, copy, sell, resell or exploit any works. In doing so, you endanger our relationships with artists, and directly jeopardizes the charitable work we do.
