Williams) and Reese (Mary Ellen Trainor), armed with their batons, found Jennifer Parker (Elisabeth Shue) unconscious in an alley and brought her to the home of her future self. It features a small metal switch on the handle, as well as the remnants of its internal lighting components. At the connection of the main extension to the handle, the baton is split into two pieces. Superman's (Christopher Reeve) leggings from Sidney J. Furie's superhero sequel Superman IV: The Quest for Peace. Superman wore his costume throughout the film as he fought against Lex Luthor (Gene Hackman) and his powerful "son" Nuclear Man (Mark Pillow), who was born in the Sun after Superman's "genetic matrix" was attached to the world's nuclear arsenal and launched into the star. These leggings are made from polyamide, a specially blended synthetic fabric designed to provide some stretch while limiting visible signs of sweat during use under the heat of production lighting. The fabric was also designed to create a shimmering effect when illuminated. Unlike most of Superman's leggings, these comprise two separate items of clothing, one for each leg. The leggings feature elastic bands with metal clips. One of the legs features a "Bermans & Nathans" label, which reads "Christopher Reeve 4913 Flying Superman IV". The leggings show some wear from production use and age, including minor discolouration.£1000-2000 M
Marty McFly's (Michael J. Fox) self-lacing light-up 2015 Nike MAGs from Robert Zemeckis' sci-fi adventure sequel Back to the Future Part II. Doc Brown (Christopher Lloyd) brought Marty to the future year of 2015 and gave him a futuristic ensemble to help him blend in, including a pair of 2015 Nike MAGs.These high-top trainers are made with a flexible synthetic grey fabric over a blue-flecked foam and clear rubber sole. They feature white leatherette padding along the opening and a matching strap holding a white foam heel pad on the back of each shoe. On the sides of the shoes are white Nike logos; the right shoe also features practical lighting elements behind the Nike logo on the top strap, in the colored sections at the side of the heel, and in the clear element on the side of the sole itself. There is also a grey power cord running out of this shoe to a newly added black power pack which, with the flip of a switch, powers the lights on and off.The right trainer has been created by the special effects department so the flat shoe laces run out of the bottom of the shoe. These were used to create the self-lacing effect, with a crew member lying beneath a raised platform, on which the shoes stood, and pulling the straps tight from underneath. The Nike MAGs exhibit age and wear, and the foam components have undergone restoration to reconstruct cracked, crumbling and some missing elements. The electroluminescent lightstrips in the top strap and sole of the right shoe, as well as the coloured LED lights in its heel, have also undergone restoration to allow them to light up again. The soles, backstraps and other foam elements of the shoes are especially delicate.£15000-25000 Ω *Contains electronics; see electronics notice in the Buyer's Guide
A light-up Bajoran interceptor miniature model from sci-fi TV series Star Trek: Deep Space Nine. Miniature models were used for the Bajoran ships, which first appeared in the Season 2 episode "The Siege", when two interceptors attacked the ship being flown by Commander Kira Nerys (Nana Visitor) and Lieutenant Jadzia Dax (Terry Farrell). The Starfleet officers managed to destroy one of the Interceptors before sustaining critical damage and crash landing. Models were later used in the Season 3 episode "Through The Looking Glass" and for cutaway footage of ships flying around DS9 in later seasons. The model is made of plastic and hand-painted to look as detailed and realistic as possible. It is predominantly decorated in shades of grey with bronze detailing, in keeping with the Bajoran aesthetic. It features €˜rust' markings and other examples of intentional distress, giving it the appearance of being well used and battle worn. When connected to mains power via a D-sub 9-pin connector, the lights within the model illuminate, lighting up the cockpit, windows and engines, as well as lights on the wing tips and the top of the ship. The miniature sits on a custom-made metal stand on a black wooden base. The stand is a fixed to a production-made filming mounting point, which can be hidden with an extra piece when not on the stand. There is a second hidden mounting point in the tail. It has some wear from production use and age, including a small repair to the left wing. Dimensions: 45 cm x 68 cm x 25 cm (17 3/4" x 26 3/4" x 9 3/4") ADDITIONAL INFORMATION Interceptors were lightly armed craft with two phaser emitters, used by the Bajoran Militia in the defense of Bajor. They were often utilised in the orbit of the planet but, as in "The Siege", could also fly within the atmosphere.£8000-10000 M *Contains electronics; see electronics notice in the Buyer's Guide
1969 Jaguar E Type FHC Registration number: BGU 148G Date of first registration: 1969 VIN number: 1R25759 Engine number: TR4069-5 MOT expires: 15 04 2020 V5C present listing 6 former keepers Current mileage shown: 49,506 4235 cc Black Introduced in 3.8-litre form in 1961, the Jaguar E-Type caused a sensation when it appeared, with instantly classic lines and a top speed of 150mph. Nowadays it would be impossible for a single model to cause such a stir but here was a civilized production sports car that looked like a Le Mans prototype and could outperform just about anything else on the road. The first significant upgrade occurred in October 1964 with the launch of the 4.2-liter version. Along with the bigger engine came a user-friendlier gearbox and servo brakes. From September 1968 Series II E-Types, incorporating safety upgrades previously fitted only in America, were released worldwide. In addition to revised lighting and switchgear, the front air intake was larger and sat behind a full-width bumper. Tennants are proud to offer this wonderful example of a series 2 Jaguar E-type. Built and registered in 1969, it has been the subject of a comprehensive restoration. Finished in striking black, the coupe to the purest represents the best lines of any E-type, with lower roofline and shorter wheelbase than the 2+2. This example also sports the prettier series one bonnet, a conversion often made by the discerning enthusiast with took the lines back to the original couple built in the early 1960s. On inspection the car has been treated to a full ground up restoration by Philip Welch of Dunnington (see separate condition report), the original car being stripped and professionally painted in deep black to an excellent standard. There is evidence of a comprehensive mechanical overhaul backed up by a large file of receipts and invoices. This includes engine rebuild top and bottom end, rebuilt running gear, clutch and exhaust. The engine bay has been detailed to a high standard and shows many new and refurbished components under the bonnet. The interior has been treated to a professional re-trim in good quality light tan leather, new carpets, headlining and the chrome work is in wonderful condition. Buyer's premium of 12% inclusive of VAT @ 20%. Major overhaul carried out by Philip Welch of Dunnington, York, including new radiator, heater motor and all new silicon hoses. Suspension overhaul with new bushes front and rear. Complete new braking system all pipes, hoses servos and cylinders with copper craft callipers with vented discs, new rear callipers. Fully overhauled limited slip differential. The engine and gearbox were removed and stripped down and completely rebuilt by a known and respected specialist classic car mechanic, fully balanced, recorded with new pistons, new timing chains and tensioners so, new harmonic balancer. The crankshaft was converted to a rear slip seal. Cylinder head and carbs fully stripped down and over hauled. Transmission checked and overhauled as necessary. The original black interior was beginning to show its age and was completely retrimmed. All new wire wheels and tyres instruments overhauled where necessary. The heritage certificate shows the body number and engine number to be original, though the body was restored, and we assume the bonnet was replaced.
