A glass mascot by René Lalique, introduced on 26/8/1925, No.1122 in clear and frosted glass with a slight amethyst tint, signed moulded in relief R.LALIQUE and engraved FRANCE underneath, on original Breves Galleries lighting display radiator cap mount, height overall 13.5cm. Length 14cm.Marcilhac no.1122, p.497.Weiner p.30. André Citroën approached René Lalique to come up with an appropriate design for his new 5CV (Chevaux Vapour) motorcar, what Lalique produced was a marvellous concept reflecting the car in animal form. This being the first official car mascot produced for a specific make of automobile.

 MUNI PAUL: (1895-1967) Austrian-Hungarian born American Actor, Academy Award winner. A good vintage signed and inscribed 7 x 9.5 photograph of Muni seated in a three quarter length pose lighting a cigarette. Signed in bold, dark fountain pen ink to a light area at the base of the image and dated 11th May 1942 in his hand. Some very small, extremely minor traces of former mounting to the corners of the borders, VG
