A nicely presented International McCormick Farmall F.F. Cub 1,000 cc. petrol-engined farm tractor Registration No: 594 YUE (Non-Transferable number), Chassis No. 706570, believed to have been manufactured at Saint-Dizier, France in 1956. This tractor was imported from France by a farmer from near Whitchurch, Shropshire and was purchased by the present owner in 2012 when it bore the French registration no: 1757187. It was first registered in the U.K. with an age-related number on the 11/01/2013. These popular and; although weighing in at under a tonne, capable little tractors were originally produced in the U.S.A. and many were exported to France until around 1955 when production there was commenced. There are attached the remains of a French label: "Comptoir Agricole du Limousin", and the tractor has been restored over many years by its local owner. The tractor has a 6 volt electrical system with road lighting, there is a self-starter and it is accordingly easy to start and with its three-speed plus reverse gearbox is highly manoeuvrable and the visibility from the off-set driver's seat is astonishingly good. There is a power take-off shaft but no hydraulic lift system for implements is installed, instead there is a substantial hand-lever lift mechanism with a large assister spring to ease the handling of either mid or rear-mounted implements. The V5C registration document is present as well as a National Vintage Tractor & Engine Club Certificate of Age and several photographs taken prior to commencement of the renovation work. ***N.B. A 1963 Nuffield 4/60 Diesel engined 55 h.p. farm tractor registration no. GCG 357, fitted with a Boughton Winch with ground anchor - serial no. 7079 having had a new winch cable recently fitted at a cost in the region of £300. This tractor was apparently supplied by the agents Wallis & Steevens Limited of Basingstoke; a firm renowned also for their manufacture of steam engines, being sold to the original owners - Laverstoke Estates Ltd of Hampshire and was first registered on 28/05/1963. Records show that the winch was apparently sold by T.T. Boughton & Sons Ltd to Anna Valley Tractors Ltd on the 20th January, 1959. The tractor is known to have migrated to the Isle of Sheppey from where the present owner purchased the machine; which had been standing unused for some years, to add to his collection of Nuffields. Recommissioning and considerable restoration works were carried out and; with the assistance of Hampshire County Council's archivist, sufficient evidence was produced in order to obtain its original number which was re-registered on 11/11/2004. The chassis number is 60B/1995/38364, there is a safety cab with recent new canopy and weld-mesh to the rear to guard against a possible winch cable breakage, also a front weight is fitted. She has a new fan-belt, working horn, road lighting and a rear work-light. New 16" front wheel rims and new tyres are fitted all round, the rears being 12.4" x 36". These five forward gears and reverse gear tractors also having a differential lock were often favoured due to their good turn of speed for road work. The V5C document is present as well as various correspondence regarding retaining the registration number and an owner's manual. An extremely useful machine, starting on the button and capable; with the winch fitted, of well-exceeding the tractive force of one (or possibly more than one) of today's massive, complex modern tractors, some costing well over £200,000. The tractor has a single clutch ideal for winch-tractor use, where quick control response is a great benefit. An illustrated Driver's Handbook is to be sold with the tractor. ***N.B. - THE BUYER'S PREMIUM ON THIS LOT WILL BE 10% + V.A.T.
