PART 16TH CENTURY OAK STANDING FOUR POSTER TESTER BED having early panelled headboard with inlaid floral decoration and chequer banding, chip carved and moulded framing, the pointed arch foot with foliate carved panels bearing initials W.S and the date 1630, with baluster turned uprights to the wainscote panelled over canopy. Overall 152 x 212 x 212cm approx. CONDITION REPORT: Not all period, probably an amalgam of parts early to later. Modern drapes, some losses, chips and splitting with age. Appearing to be able to be soundly constructed including various bolts, nuts and pins.
