A Modern Burr and Cross Banded Walnut and Oak Sleigh Bedstead, by Frank Hudson, with twin panelled scroll head and foot boards, moulded uprights, on bracket feet, 5ft Minor scattered scratching to the whole. To the top of the headboard in the middle there are two small areas of rubbing/gouging. On the right hand stretcher at the bottom there appears to be a small sign of rubbing. General heavier wear to the base and the feet commensurate with age. Overall the item is structurally sound and appears to be in good condition.

British Railways locomotive headboard THE ABERDONIAN as used on the former London King's Cross - Aberdeen Sleeping car train from 1927. This the first pattern of BR board carried from the early 1950's and regularly hauled by A2 locomotives. Cast aluminium with mounting bracket, In lightly face restored condition. This board was acquired from the vendors late cousin some years ago and is believed to be the one that was used on June 1966 steam special from London Waterloo to Aberdeen and return, organised by Warwickshire Railway Society.
