A mahogany four poster bed, with 72 inch mattress, with turned and fluted columns, complete with drapes in the Petites Fleur-de-Lys pattern designed in 1902 by Warner Fabrics. CONDITION REPORT: Height to top of cornice approximately 203 cm (80 ins). Width across cornice 204 cm (80.25 ins). Length of cornice 222 cm (87.5 ins). The bed will accommodate a 6' mattress. The condition of the mattress that is with the bed is not particularly good. The mattress rests on two 3' sprung edge bases. In our opinion the bases are serviceable but the mattress should really be replaced. The picture in the catalogue was taken approximately 5 years ago when we sold the bed to the current owner. We have only partially reassembled the bed for this sale. It is apparently quite a lengthy job to fully assemble it. The upholstered headboard is generally in good condition. The canopy is a series of 8 panels which we have not assembled. The material to the panels is generally a little dirty and there is some water marking particularly on the unseen sides of each panel. There are also some scuffs and tears to the edges of each panel. The left hand rear bed pillar is slightly angled and has a crack in the bottom turned support. The front pillars are both loose at all joints. The bed would require very careful assembly to make it structurally sound. The bed has been in storage for a considerable period of time and all of the drapes are creased and would need TLC prior to use
