A 20th century French style mahogany four-poster bed, the ogee shaped headboard between tapering turned and knopped uprights, the matched footboard with moulded panel between reeded and knopped uprights, the moulded cornice supporting a padded canopy and embroidered textile pelmet, 140cm wide x 206cm long x 202cm high.Condition report: Headboard and footboard appear to be from similar but, nevertheless, different beds. Fair condition throughout with some cosmetic marks, dents and scratches to the wood elements - not disfiguring - consistent with age and use.
An early 20th century French walnut double bedstead: ornately carved baseboard and headboard, each flanked by turned tapering fluted uprights emanating from acanthus bulbs, together with connecting side rails (the headboard 149cm wide x 156cm highest). (Similar to lot 395, two single bedsteads)

Georges & Gaston Guerin - An Art Deco French burr walnut veneered double bed with an arched head and foot board raised to sledge type feet and with a stepped integral demi-lune drawer and shelf to each side, with indistinct hand-written signature to the underside of one of the drawers, refurbished with replacement folding bed base, width across the headboard 209cm and length 200cm.
Gordon Russell (1892-1980) oak and holly, 'Lygon' Arts and Crafts double bed ends, circa 1925, with original handwritten paper label from the Gordon Russell workshop, please note there are no rails with this bed, headboard measures 122cm wide x 138cm high, footboard measures, 122cm x 81cm Condition report: Overall signs of light wear and use. The footboard has had professional restoration, but is sturdy and fit for purpose. Small bruise/area of damage to the footboard near to bottom, but is minor and does not affect the piece. Would benefit from a light clean and polish. Label hard to read in places and is slightly worn. Please note there are no rails to the bed, there is a base and mattress. Headboard THE ORCADIAN from the train that ran between Inverness - Wick/Thurso from 1962-1964 and was diesel hauled throughout. Circular wood in ex railway condition measures 22in x 21in.
