Original vintage travel poster - A Thoroughbred Heads The 'Cathedrals Express' Up Chipping Campden Bank - featuring artwork by the notable British artist Terence Tenison Cuneo (1907-1996) of the Cathedrals Express train with a bishop's mitre crest above the headboard in Gothic blackletter font at the front. Great design depicting the steam train as the main image on railway tracks passing trees on a hill with a rail worker standing on the side, three annotated sketches below of the work in progress showing illustrations of the train and the landscape with handwritten notes about the artwork and a small illustration of a mouse leaning against a railway sign. The historic market town of Chipping Campden is located in the Cotswolds Gloucestershire south west England. Horizontal. Fair condition, paper loss in the top right corner, restored folds, several restored crease marks on image, restored tears, staining, backed on linen.
