A Charming 17th Century Freisland Full Tester Bed. The panelled tester having a moulded cornice above an arched canopy frieze edged in a fret-carved border of undulating foliage. The head board with two small upper panels of floriate carving sliding across to reveal secret compartments, above three fielded principal panels; the central one carved with a depiction of Adam & Eve by the Tree of Knowledge and flanked by reeded side panels with daisy wheels to the corners. The three further uncarved panels below having re-entrant corner quadrants. The shaped side rails with ribbed triple panels. The foot board with reeded side panels reflecting the headboard flanking a carved centre panel adorned with an urn of flowers, and barley-twist side columns rising up to support the canopy. 80 ins (203 cms) in height, 72 ins (183 cms) in length, 62 ins (158 cms) in width.

A Fabulous 17th Century & Later Carved Oak Full Tester Bed. The headboard having two main arcaded panels; each carved with the initials I R above a portcullis; the heraldic symbol of the Beaufort family, and inscribed Dev.et.Mandrot beneath well carved arches with pierced scallop edging on guilloche pilasters flanked by guilloche muntins. The tester divided into twelve moulded panels; each centred by a roundel projecting a pendant finial, with a moulded cornice above a canopy frieze of arabesque strap-work. The foot posts adorned with graduated guilloche bands encompassing flower-heads above central cup & cover swellings enhanced with palmate carving and lower deep-fluted columns tapering down to the block supports on moulded bases.
FRENCH OAK MIRRORED ARMOIRE, LATE 19th CENTURY, the arched crest centred by a c-scroll above arched doors with conforming bevelled mirror panel, over two short drawers and raised on scroll feet; the bed with crest matching the armoire, the headboard and footboard centred by a quarter veneered panel.
