CALCUTTA, LOCAL TYPES, AND DELHI DURBARNineteenth century photograph album, compiled by a female missionary, including views of Calcutta and environs, festival chariots, portraits of local types and groups, and a few missionaries, including; 30 albumen prints and cyanotype blue prints, some tipped-in at corners, some loose, some captioned on mount, others in pencil on verso, images 170 x 125mm., and smaller, [late 1860s-early 1870s]; watercolour of an Indian water carrier, 90 x 125mm.; Indian miniature of two scenes (procession with Indian prince on elephant; three seated female musicians), gouache on paper, some surface abrasions, 160 x 165mm. CONDITION REPORT The camera body is in good condition, with some light surface scratches to the chrome, as well as some pitting. There is a small amount of brassing to the viewfinder, as well as to other points on the camera. The lens is in good condition, with some light internal haze and dust. The sharkskin leather wrap on the camera is in good condition.

CONDITION REPORT the camera shows heavy signs of use, with pitting to the chrome, as well as loss of chrome in parts. Brassing to the shoe and the edges. Brassing to the front dial, as well as various other parts of the camera. There are light surface scratches throughout and the lens itself is in fair condition, with some light internal haze and grime. The leather case shows signs of wear commensurate with age. LEICA; an IIIc camera, serial no.400857, fitted with a Leitz Elmar F=5cm 1:3.5 lens, the camera fitted with a 5cm Leitz viewfinder and UV filter and Leica maker's cap. CONDITION REPORT The camera shows some signs of age - it has some loss of chrome to the bottom plate. There are light scratches and some heavy scratches to the chrome on the top. The rangefinder lens has a crack in it. There is some brassing to the dials. the lens appears to be in good condition, with some internal haze and some grime build-up. The leather case has some degradation to it and the strap is still intact.
LEICA; an IIIb camera, serial no.321941, fitted with an Elmar F=5cm 1:3.5 lens, with Leica maker's cap and a leather Leica case. CONDITION REPORT The camera has light surface scratches on the chrome, as well as some brassing to the top plate and to the front dial. The lens appears to be in reasonably good condition, with some light internal haze, as well as some light scratches to the front lens, however it does have some brassing to the aperture slider. The lens is also fitted with an Elmar 5cm filter hood. The Leica leather case has some signs of age, such as scuffs to the front and sides, as well as some degradation of the leather.
LEICA; an IIIa camera body, serial no.258390, with leather case. CONDITION REPORT The camera body is in overall fair condition, with several light scratches to top and bottom. Brassing to the front dial and what appears to be black paint which is starting to rub off around the viewfinder area. the case is in used condition, with some degradation to the leather strap. The leather case is monogrammed to the top with the initials 'R.C.D.'.
LEICA; an III camera, serial no.120931, fitted with a Summitar F=5cm 1:2 lens, fitted with a UV lens and a maker's cap, with a Leica leather case. CONDITION REPORT The body of the camera shows some signs of age, such as light scratches throughout and some brassing to the dials. The leather is in good condition, however the glue is starting to fail underneath the lens, causing a portion to peel away. The lens has some internal haze and dust and also appears to show signs of fungus at the edge of the lens. The case is in good condition, with some signs of wear and marks commensurate with age.

CONDITION REPORT The camera body is in good used condition, with light surface scratches to the bottom, as well as some dust and grime commensurate with age. The lens itself has some light internal haze and some dust to the lens. There is a small strip of the leather missing by the flash input.
