*Microscope. A black lacquered brass binocular microscope, W. Watson & Sons, 313 High Holborn, London, 86180, circa 1940s, with interchangeable monocular tube, two condensers and stage, four objective eyepieces by Beck (2/4/8/16mm), a Beck external lamp with variable transformer standard lens, iris and filter holder, accessories including a micrometer slide, lamp filters and original Watson dust cover, contained in a Watson mahogany box, together with a Wrayflex SRL 35mm camera with wide-angle lens, photometer and stand to support camera over microscope, plus a collection of slides of kidney tubules This camera and microscope were used by Dr Jeffrey Boss of the physiology department at the University of Bristol. The slides of kidney tubules are those he took using this equipment. (-)

Björk's Alexander McQueen pearl beaded 'bridal' gown, made for the 'Pagan Poetry' video, 2001, un-labelled, the boned tulle corset-like bodice cut to frame the naked breasts with nipple rings and pearl stranded adornments, further strings of pearls cascade from the neck, encircle the shoulders and festoon the lace skirt, the trained fishtail hem with layers of petticoats, back-laced to fasten, waist approx 61cm, 24in Exhibited: MOMA New York, March 8th to June 7th, 2015. The controversial video, directed by Nick Knight, was filmed to accompany the album 'Vespertine'. In the 'Pagan Poetry' video, a woman prepares herself for her wedding and her lover. It includes abstract intimations of love-making, taken with a mini DV camera. Björk contacted her friend Lee McQueen to ask him to make her a bridal gown. She envisaged pearls being literally sewn through her skin to form the gown. The result was this beautiful lace concoction covered with ropes of pearls. The video also showed a naked body (not Björk's) being pierced and threaded with pearl strands. CONDITION REPORT: Generally good condition, a few of the pearl strands at the neck are tangled, There are floating threads mainly on the front waist and midriff area of the bodice which suggests some of the strands have been broken and pearl beads are missing. Overall the condition is good. There is a tear along a seam line on one of the interior tulle petticoats near the hem. The cord laces to fasten the rear corset are missing.
