The artist's work ranges from photography and non-fiction writing to directing Oscar-winning films such as Butch Cassidy and the Sundance Kid (1969) and The Man Who Skied Down Everest (1972). Schiller achieved early success as a photojournalist, publishing photographs of film stars, athletes and politicians in magazines and newspapers around the world. Schiller's most iconic images capture a nude Marilyn Monroe filming a swimming pool scene for the film Something's Got to Give, just months before her death in 1962. In addition to his memoir Marilyn & Me (2012), Schiller has published eleven books about the course of her career, many with her longtime collaborator Norman Mailer.Lawrence Schiller began filming Marilyn in 1960 on the set of "Let's Make Love" when she was only 23, accompanying her until the last years of her life. Marilyn Monroe celebrated her last birthday on 1 June 1962 with the cast and crew of her last film "Something's Got to Give", directed in 1962 by George Cukor and starring Dean Martin and Marilyn Monroe in her final role. The film was left unfinished after the actress's death.
Rare Stuntmens Belt and Plaque for the 2004 World Stunt Awards. The Belt is heavy oval shape 3 1/2 inches wide, has gold colour buckle with Stuntmens Associations of Motion Pictures with Camera in centre. A metal belt buckle, oval, with a raised lip/edge around circumference. In relief on the front, at top reads [Stuntmen's Association], and at the bottom [Of Motion Pictures]. In the middle is a relief depiction of a movie camera with a banner underneath reading [Hollywood], and a five point star at the left and right. The back is a loop and hook style buckle. Etched into the back, all vertically displayed, reads [The Stuntmen's Association Of/Motion Pictures And Television/Was Founded In Hollywood Calif. /1961, By Professional Stuntmen], [Sculptor/Al Shelton/Studio City, Ca. /In/Who's Who In The West], and a logo for the Stuntmen's Association. From collection of stuntman Derek Del Baker who doubled for hundreds of stars like Sean Connery, Michael Caine, John Wayne in many classic movies including Were Eagle Dares, Robin Hood Prince of Thieves, The Kray, The Living Daylights, Octopussy, Time Bandits, The Boys from Brazil, The Eagle Has Landed, The Professionals, The Sweeney and many more. Out of the 50 examples sold worldwide, only 16 were destined for Europe, each featuring a Le Mans dedication plate and 'McLaren 25 Anniversary Le Mans' logos.This car is one of only two right-hand drive orange examples in the UK and out of six 720S Le Mans in total in this country, with this car being chassis '004' out of the limited production run of 50 units. Finished in the iconic McLaren Orange of the F1 LM cars, it benefits from bespoke five-spoke alloy wheels finished in gloss dark Graphite Grey to match the style of the F1 LM cars, in addition to gold brake callipers that also featured on the McLaren F1.
