* Sinatra (Frank, 1915-98). Signed b&w publicity photo, c. 1970s, showing Sinatra half length in a pale pullover and smiling to camera, signed and inscribed across a white area of the image, “For Joyce & John, all good wishes, Frank Sinatra”, light crease to upper left corner, 25 x 20cm. Provenance: John Rimington - Fleet Street Las Vegas-based showbiz correspondent from 1971 to 1991. During this period he interviewed or worked with as a personal publicist/PR consultant to almost all of the Las Vegas legends. In 1975 he married his British-born wife Joyce in Frank Sinatra’s suite at Caesar’s Palace. The singer-songwriter Paul Anka (who wrote “My Way” for Sinatra) was best man and headed a host of celebrities who were invited to the reception where many of them signed photos for the Rimington’s wedding album. They later honeymooned in Liberace’s Hollywood home. See other lots in this section. (1)
