An extremely rare early silver mechanical pencil - Perry’s clutch mechanism with lead sharpener in the release button Marked Perry & Co Patent to nib area and P & Co LTD STERLING SILVER to main, having inbuilt lead sharpener in the top, (when you place the lead inside the top of the button and twist, it brings it to a sharp point), inscribed to central foliate design ‘A E SMITH’, fully functional, 4¼ in. (10.8cm.) long, weight 0.45 tr.oz. Scarce *Small split to silver, just below push knob, light surface wear, good, working.
A very rare Victorian novelty silver sewing etui combined with a vinaigrette to base Sampson Mordan & Co, London, 1874, modelled as a Policeman’s Bullseye lantern / lamp, the hinged cover opening to reveal a silver gilt interior for pin storage around inner rim, pull-out bobbin with cotton reels and tape measure, topped by thimble, the hinged base housing the silver gilt vinaigrette with beautiful foliate pierced grill, stamped with retailer ‘THORNHILL’, attached handles and clip, stamped with diamond lozenge mark, 2 5/8in. (6.7cm.) high, weight 3.8 tr.oz. *Crystal glass with small inner fracture, otherwise good.
A fine Sterling silver and cut glass goblet and cover American, mid-20th century, the goblet with etched and cut flora, foliate, swagged and bead drop decoration, with bubbled knop stem and silver pedestal base, the conforming glass cover with silver finial, the base marked 'Sterling A177 2½oz. Weighted', with laurel leaf maker's mark, 11¼in. (28.5cm.) high. *Appears to be very good, nothing to note.

Colonel IMS John Walter Forbes Rait MB, BS, (Irish, 1873-1926), officer of the Indian Medical Service, incorporating Military Order of the Dragon, Boxer Rebellion, 1900, in damascened bronze with original shaped brooch suspender and embroidered ribbon; Great War M.S.M. ; China 1900; silver Victory Medal 1914-18; silver British War Medal 1914-18; bronze Royal Army Medical School 1881 award; framed together with an oval framed miniature in watercolour of Lt. Colonel Rait 3 x 2½in. (7.6 x 6.3cm.). Accompanied by a framed set of photographs showing the aftermath of the torpedoing of Lt. Colonel Rait's passenger ship, "Arabia", on 16th November 1916 south of Cape Matapan, Greece, and a framed certificate from the London Hospital conferring the privilege of Life Governor. *Good condition.

(5) *One with a repair to the stem, through the date letter mark. One other with rubbing to the Britannia mark. The other marks good and otherwise in good condition.

(30cm.), weight 17.4 tr.oz. *one decanter with a tiny flea-bite nibble to corner of one edge of base, hardly noticeable, otherwise good, silver stand very good with clear hallmarks.
