(illustrated) CONDITION REPORT: Lot 1886: The bowl, extremely sharp at the extremity of the front, worn, long surface scratches to front and back of bowl including minor dents. The centre of the handle above the date letter is uneven, feels as if it has been bent, hallmark is lacking. In my opinion it has possibly been repaired.

General overall surface scratching front and back, dent beneath the outset hinge right hand side, small dent bottom left hand corner, minor dent to the outset angles right hand side. Old polish to the interior of the hinged lid. Hallmark generally clear, makers mark a little worn, minor split just beneath the hinged cover at the top near to the dent, centre slightly compressed, only minor.
