Ca. AD 900 - 1100.A Viking silver chamfron made from a single sheet of hammered silver. It is embossed with typical medieval Scandinavian motifs such as triangles and dots in a geometric pattern. There are also 23 hammered hemispherical studs driven into the metal with convex chisels. There are eyelets on the top and sides to attach a liner or for suspension fixings. New Kingdom to Late Period, Ca. 1550 - 332 BC.A collection of amulets, including four scarabs. Two scarabs have elongated bodies, one is flat, and the other is rounded; each with intricate carved details on the underside. Accompanying these is a square-shaped seal with two rows of miniature scarabs engraved, each row featuring four scarabs in alignment; the underside bears an inscription referencing Amenhotep I. Also included is a circular seal with a cross pattern of floral petals, set within a silver swivel ring frame. Ca. AD 1400 - 1600.A very rare and impressive medieval knights sword with a central fuller, simple crossguard, and octagonal pommel. The blade features silver inlay on both sides of the blade in the form of heraldic symbols within a shield, a lion rampant on one side and an eagle displayed on the other. The blade is 1220mm long and 53mm wide at the ricasso, whilst the fuller extends 324mm up the blade. The pommel is engraved on each side with a cross pattée. The excellent balance and relatively low weight of this sword means that it was highly likely to have been intended for use in combat. Ca. 300 - 200 BC.A Hellenistic shallow gilt silver bowl. The interior is decorated with chased and gilded embellishments, depicting a central flower surrounded by four pointed leaves and four acanthus leaves with scrolling tendrils. Around the centre is a band of continuous wave motifs, followed by a band of scrolling floral tendrils. There are additional plain, narrower bands, leading to the outer swollen rim. The dish is gilded except on the plain bands and pointed leaves.This type of vessel is clearly of Greek inspiration but most likely comes from the Hellenised East, within the Seleucid Empire, which encompassed much of Western Asia, stretching as far as Afghanistan and parts of Pakistan.
