A 19th century mahogany cased folding botanist's magnifying glass bearing a label documenting the origin of the item, and inscribed in ink on the outer ' This glass belonged to my great grandfather the Reverend Joseph Dole of Stockport......' 10.5 diameter.Together with other items including miser's purses, Karthoum golf club silver medal, tortoiseshell calling card case, Goburg desk seal set and other items.Condition report: The magnifying glass with two shell shaped and smaller chips to the outer edges of the glass. A small chip to the outer case, locking clasp missing. The wood case is a nice colour.

The inner pad has come away from the board, some staining to the bone pencil terminal. Cap badge in good order.
