An interesting and varied collection of Masonic jewels, regalia and documentation related to Brother George Hinchcliffe, a member of Batu Bertanda Lodge under the jurisdiction of the District Grand Lodge of Mark Master Masons of Malaya and the Selangor Royal Arch chapter number 2337 as well as British Lodges, with numerous jewels including silver and/or enamelled examples and a Selangor Chapter example, several aprons, white metal dish inscribed 'Presented to Wor. Bro. G. Hinchcliffe from Batu Bertanda Mark & R. A. M. Lodges', numerous decrees, certificates, booklets and further paperwork, all housed in Robinson & Co Ltd of Singapore and Kuala Lumpur, a leather briefcase with painted initials 'G.H.'.Additional InformationThe Malay items date to the 1950s, specifically the mid 1950s, the Malay items relate specifically to Kuala Lumpur and Selangor chapter but no visible references made to Singapore.
DUPONT; a white metal rectangular table lighter and a matching yellow metal example (2).Additional InformationBoth items are plated, there is rubbing to this plating, particularly on the silver coloured example, general wear and usage, scratches, nicks, dings etc. Silver plated example will need a new flint, gold example does actually light a small flame, lid hinge feels a little loose.

It has been catalogued as silver plated, as such there is no hallmark. There are no visible cracks although there is quite heavy wear with scratches, nicks, gouges, tarnish etc. The lead measures approx 1mm in diameter.

The inside measurement at the widest point is 5.5cm. The opening measurement is 2.4cm.

COMMANDOS; the WWII medal group and archive of Raymond Bacon, Commando Regiment, who served in the 9th Commandos and previously the Royal Artillery; the medal group comprises War and Defence Medals, 1939-1945, Africa and Italy Stars, with a third pattern Fairbairn-Sykes commando knife (possibly Nowill & Sons), a Nowill & Sons commemorative commando knife, two dog tags numbered 1792188, five cloth badges including Operation Tombstone examples and two Third Reich cloth badges, a pair of silver and enamelled Commando knife motif cuff links, the Commando Association (1943-2005) booklet, an official Letter of Farewell issued by Combined Operations Command, a photograph and typed letter from his wife detailing his service including that Gnr. Bacon was repeatedly turned down for the Commandos because he wore glasses but was finally accepted on the condition that whenever he went into action he must fasten his glasses firmly with plenty of sticking plaster.

Some losses to the lacquer just below the rim. The silver inside somewhat oxidized. Minor superficial wear throughout.- One with the metal mount around the foot a bit loose. With overspraying visible along the stem up to the underside of the bowl, indicating the stem may have been detached from the bowl at some point. The silver inside somewhat oxidized. A Montegrappa Tirebouchon limited edition fountain pen. This pen is 76/100, known as the Wine Makers pen, made from oak with silver banding with a bunch of grapes decoration to the clip. Concealed in the barrel is a corkscrew. The pen comes in its presentation box of turned oak, and still in its original packaging and is uninked.
