A Betjemann's Patent silver plated three division tantalus with gadrooned detail housing three clear hobnail cut glass decanters (one af), 33 x 39.3cm.Additional InformationSome rubbing to silver plate particularly to raised edges and surfaces, one of the decanters with a bad chip to the rim, some further nibbles and fritting. We are pleased to confirm that this is indeed a Betjemann's Patent tantalus.
A late Victorian silver plated three bottle tantalus, with hobnail cut oval decanters, height 32cm.Additional InformationNo, it is produced by Elkington & Co. Stand with general surface wear, and tarnishing throughout, plate is worn in parts and the base metal is showing through, one bottle stopper with large chip/piece missing from the bottom section which has been ground and polished, minor nibbles to the foot rim of each decanter, one example has a large sliver chip to the foot rim also.
