A silver pen knife to commemorate the 1900 trial trip of RMS Lake Champlain. Inscribed to one side 'Souvenir of Trial Trip, May 4th 1900' and to the other 'Elder, Dempster & Cos, RMS Lake Champlain' and with an engraving of the ship. With hallmarks for Sheffield 1999, Walker & Hall. Total weight 0.86 oz. The Lake Champlain was a four-masted steel screw steamer built by Barclay, Curle & Company for its Beaver Line service in 1900, travelled between Britain and the Far East, and also carried out radio communications experiments.

A Swiss silver gilt quarter-repeating keyless lever double dial calendar watch, Baume & Co, early 20th c, the enamel dial with lunar work, fenestrated back, with silvered and gilt finished calendar with the days of the weeks, days of the month and months of the year, 55mm diam An advertisement for these watches was placed by Baume & Co of 21 Hatton Garden, London in the Horological Journal in August 1902.
