With some tiny sized sporadic foxing spots throughout. The print has been glued at the edges and there are discoloured finger prints which may well be the transference of the glue from the securing process. Cockelling around the centre. Small number of thunderflies trapped under the glass. Scuffs and scratches to the glass. Thin aluminium frame. Not examined out of the frame.
Julian Opie (b.1958) ''We Swam Amongst the Fishes'' Signed and numbered 75/160 verso, screenprint on spray-painted MDF, 75cm by 70cm *ARR/(Droit de Suite) applies to this lot Extremely high gloss finish which is susceptible to showing finger prints, smudges and liable to scratches. There is a vertical scratch right hand side centre which is approx 1-1.5cm long with another smaller to the left of it and less than 0.5cm in length. These have been in filled with a close match of blue. There is a further infilled scratch in black to the lower jaw of larger striped fish within the lower right hand corner and is approx 0.5cm in length. Minor infilled scratches to lower tail fin of a fish in the upper left hand corner. Tiny nicks to ege and corner in lower right hand side and lower left hand corner. Tiny nick to upper edge centre. Very superficial scratch to fish on left hand side edge towards the top. Odd other extremely minor imperfections.

Wells writes, in full, 'You know my Modern Utopia I suppose. If you compare that with a pamphlet published by the Hogarth Press, Democracy under Revision you will have most of my Utopian notions. Next spring I shall publish The Open Conspiracy: Blue Prints for a World Revolution that will be aimed at such readers as you & your friends. So please read it.' A letter of good literary content. Some light creasing, otherwise about VG A Modern Utopia was published in 1905 and Wells published The Open Conspiracy in 1928 with various other versions appearing in subsequent years. His article Democracy Under Revision, also referred to in the present letter had been published in 1927.
