She would grow up to become the leading British fashion designer that we know today. These two shots were printed either side of a third shot used in the 'Sisters Under the Skin' book, with 'Mama's Little Girl' noted with it. The third photo (not part of this lot) was gifted to the National Portrait Gallery in 1981 by Parkinson himself, at the time of the NPG 'Norman Parkinson: 50 Years of Portraits and Fashion' Exhibition in London.Provenance:From the Angela Williams Archive, United Kingdom. Parkinson captured her image for Vogue Magazine's December 1955 issue. She appears at a motor show in Earl's Court, London, with her Daimler. She famously had the seats covered in zebra skin as she found mink too hot to sit on. Menuhin was an American-born violinist and conductor, who has come to be considered one of the world's greatest ever violinists. He married his second wife (pictured in the second photograph), the British ballerina and actress Diana Gould, in 1947. The second includes Dick Orme, the famous fifties male model and icon of British style.
