In 1929 George S. Parker commissioned Norman Rockwell to create a Christmas advert for the Parker Duofold and a variety of desk sets. He was once again employed in 1959 to produce a series of adverts for the Parker 61. These works can be found as prints in this collectors set.

Prussian Royal Castle Guard ‘Gala Rock’, extremely rare full dress long tunic in the style of Frederick the Great’s Grenadiers worn by the elite Prussian Royal Guard at the Kaiser’s Palace in Berlin. Dark blue cloth with extensive woven white ribbon piping; red collar and cuffs, with Feldwebel’s tresse; loops for a long medal group on chest; large plain nickel buttons; white shoulder straps with metal monogram insignia, one ‘FW’ monogram missing; original owner’s Royal Guard number, 0106, and his name ‘Karl Wiegert’ stamped on white cotton lining. Very good condition. Together with 4 original period coloured prints showing these tunics as worn by the Guard.
