(1)American Fenian propaganda published in Philadelphia by Prinsteller William Smith, probably in the 1860s. It features an imaginary portrait of Robert Emmett and an honor roll of prominent Fenians, along with a stirring text comparing the Repeal movement with the American Revolution. On the verso is a large wood engraving of a pretty girl. It was said that this image was meant to camouflage the incendiary material on the other side. A few stains at top. Good condition overall.
