A satinwood harp, by 'Sébastien & Pierre Érard, 19 G. Marlborough Street London', patent no. 5749, P.13960, eight-pedal,180cm highCondition report: Requires the attention of a restorer. The soundboard is split across in many places. The neck has some age. We have tried the pedals and the mechanisms appear to work, mostly. There are some deep scuffs and scratches to the woodwork throughout, and parts of the gold moulding around the top of column have broken off, some reattached clumsily with screws. All strings need renewing. There is an eighth, empty pedal socket, so this harp may have once had swell doors.
