A Gitarr zither and a Mullers auto-harp ezato CONDITION REPORTS Wear, scuffs and scratches, some chips. Cracking to veneers/ebonised finishes and some losses to finish. The top of the autoharp appears to have been removed at some stage and some screws are missing. Sides and back and top are joined, but there are some splits to the backs. It is not known whether or not the levers are in working order. We can make no guarantees as to whether items are complete, nor whether in working order. There are no cases included in this lot.
Post-Medieval Commonwealth Heraldic Fastener1649-1660 AD. A cast bronze female garment fastener, flat with three loops to the left end, one to the right; the design an elliptical panel with wreath enclosing two shields, one bearing a harp and the other cross. 5.79 grams, 37 mm (1 1/4"). Ex the late Alan Harrison collection, Lincolnshire, UK; found Old Winterton, Lincolnshire. Contemporary Commonwealth coins customarily bore a harp to one face, representing Ireland, and a cross to the other, representing England. Commonwealth coinage was demonetised in 1661-2.[No Reserve] Fine condition. Rare.Starting Price: £5

A beehive valentine, hand-painted `To Sarah Woodcock` with a harp shape frame of flowers, dated 1844, interior reveals a silk, framed by flower heads around a verse `Think not I`ll forget thee`, 16 x 17cm; a skeletal leaves paper lace, 12 x 18cm; a Dobbs hand-painted card, plus nine other paper lace by Mullord, Wood, Windsor etc. (12)

A VERY FINE VIENNESE ENAMELED AND GILT MINIATURE HARP TIMEPIECE, LATE 19TH CENTURY, PROBABLY LUDWIG POLLITZER. Finely modeled as a free standing harp, the footed base and sound board enameled with romantic pastoral scenes with gilt wires interlaced on a gilt pegboard extending from a shaped column of enameled sections divided with gilt metal mounts above a hinged base opening to reveal a swing out time piece with an Elgin 7 jewel movement. Height 7 inches (18 cm).
A Williamite cordial glass, circa 1720, the bucket bowl engraved on one side with a wreathed portrait of William III to sinister surrounded by the inscription `The immortal memory`, the reverse engraved with a crowned Irish harp flanked by fruiting vines sprays, set on a plain columnar stem terminating in a conical foot, 16cm high Provenance:First recorded by Hartshorne in 1897 as originating from a set of 24 glasses, which he described as the `finest series of Williamite glasses in existence`. He believes that they were made for Samuel Maylor in Bristol.In 1927 the set was split up, 12 glasses became part of the Lorimer collection now in the Philadelphia museum. The whereabouts of the remaining eight is not certain, but this is believed to be one of them.This glass was also sold in 1939 at Sotheby`s which is when it became part of the Rose Collection. Examples from the same set are illustrated in Warren, P., 1978 `Glass, Relating William III: Part III: 1750-1870`, in `Antiques` pp.854-865 (figure 7a)
