A Meissen figure of a lyrical muse circa 1870 emblematic of 'Fantasy', holding a harp in her left hand, her left leg perched on a small square pedestal, a floral tiara in her hair crossed swords in underglaze-blue, incised L 150 impressed 137 33cm., 13in. A comparable model is illustrated in Preisverzeichnis der Koniglich Sachsische Porzellan-Manufactur in Meissen, 1904 p.1 ill. L.150 described here as 'die Phantasie'

It features marbled binding, with multiple black/white purfling to body and an all ebony fingerboard. Machine heads are single units, with solid brass barrels. Ebony two piece bridge, with individual string saddles made of fret wire. Five piece flamed maple/mahogany marbled and laminated neck. Boasts "Harp style" tail piece. Comes with original hard case.
A Dundalk Newry & Greenore Railway Company original gold leaf garter arms transfer mounted on board. Owned by the LNWR, this 5ft 3 ins.gauge Irish railway of 261/2 miles nevertheless had its own armorial device to adorn its carriages. It features a standing Britannia clasping hands with Hibernia, complete with harp, Irish greyhound, early train, a paddle steamer, and the pier and lighthouse at Greenore. This is the second, and final, design. 24"x23". Mint.

A FINE AND UNUSUAL VICTORIAN IRISH TUNBRIDGEWARE-DECORATED INLAID YEW-WOOD WORK TABLE, the hinged rectangular lid centred by an oval Tunbridge scene of castle ruins, within chequered frames and a broad border inlaid with shamrocks and ferns, the underside inlaid with a central chequer-edged patera with harp motif within broad shamrock-inlaid border, above five lidded-and 24 open compartments, the removable tray concealing a further recess beneath, the exterior with shamrock inlay to the front and sides of the main body, to the front of the bombé substructure, to the base of the chevron-decorated octagonally-facetted tapering stem, and to the circular platform base, the whole on three carved paw feet, 57cm x 41.5cm x 74.5cm high, (22.4in x 16.3in x 29.3in)
An early 19th century horn snuff box, the lid moulded in relief with a man raising his glass to a scantily draped lady as they kiss enclosed by the inscription 'Teach Me This And Let Me Swim My Soul From The Goblet's Rim, Teach Me This And Let Me Twine My Arms Around The Nymph Devine', the reverse with plough and harp trophy, 8.5cm diameter (2)
Psalter [Slavonic]. Use of the Greek or Russian Church, ?mid-7th Century,. 330 leaves, handsomely printed in red and black in Slavonic script, 15 well?spaced lines of text per page, with large ornate initials, usually in red, and decorative head?pieces, full?page woodcut of a saint writing at a desk on the verso of the fourth leaf (recto blank), with an integral blank leaf about halfway through the volume, some slight soiling, generally in good, crisp condition, bound in contemp. blindstamped calf over wooden boards, central panel of the upper cover with a blindstamped design of King David playing the harp, with Adam and Eve in the Garden of Eden on the lower cover, 4 heart?shaped brass bosses at the corners, with a central leaf?shaped brass boss, rebacked c. 1770 in English red morocco, gilt, lettered on 2 black leather labels, and with Mus. Bapt/Bristol/Gifford in gilt on the bottom compartment, spine now rubbed, and chipped at the head, sm. 4to. Bookplate of A. Gifford on the front pastedown, over which the Bristol Baptist College bookplate has been pasted. Earlier ornate signature of Thomas Martin. Gifford himself has supplied an initialled inscription, identifying the item as a "Psalterum Sclavonicu[m]", on a free endpaper. The register appears to be in 8's, although the first gathering comprises only 6 leaves, indicating that 2 leaves, one being the title?page, is missing. (1)
A Staffordshire portrait figure of Napoleon III circa 1854, modelled sitting on a gun emplacement, his right arm resting on a canon, piles of shells at his feet, on an oval base with raised gilt title EM NAPOLEON, 39.5cm., 15.5in., chip and minor hairlines; together with two other large Staffordshire figure groups, second half 19th century, the first a Scottish huntsman with a dog; the second a lady playing a harp and a gentleman playing an accordian standing before a wall former 39.5cm., 15.5in. minor damage (3)
AN ORMOLU AND PORCELAIN FRENCH CLOCK GARNITURE the eight day movement strikes the hours and half hours on a bell with an outside countwheel, the backplate stamped with the trademark of the maker of the roulant blanc ‘S. Marti et Cie, Medaille de Bronze’ along with that of the retailer ‘Oppenheim, Londres-Paris’ and the serial number ‘233’, the blue porcelain arched dial having blued steel moon ‘hands’, black Roman hour numerals painted within white oval cartouches, with a bird and nest in a tree painted to the centre and with further painted decoration below the dial depicting two cherubs, one with a harp the other writing all surrounded with a gilt border, with further porcelain panels to the front and sides of the ormolu case which is engraved to the rear and has applied swags and is surmounted by further ormolu decoration, the rear of the case stamped with the mark of the case maker ‘P.H Mourey’, with two matching ormolu three light candleabra, both with porcelain vase shaped trunks and porcelain panels to the front, height 52cm (clock), 42cm (candleabra)
A Derby teacup and saucer, enamelled and gilt in Chelsea style with three mazarine blue and gilt cartouches of birds framed by swags, a gilt "harp' motif to the well of the saucer, having gilt borders and wishbone handle, saucer 14cm diam, Robert Bloor & Co, painted crown, crossed batons, D and gilder's numbers 11 or 13 in red, c1820. Minimal wear to the gilding on the top surface of the rim of the saucer, but in overall excellent condition and rare, no damage or restoration.
A First Period Belleek (Co Fermanagh, Ireland) Echinus Pattern Part Tea Service, each piece modelled as a section of sea urchin, comprising teapot and cover, with a finial within a frame of six "pincers" in gilt, pink coral twig handle, spout and foot, milk jug, and teacup and saucer, each piece with radiating panels in turquoise and orange enamels and gilt, transfer printed in black with wolfhound, tower and harp mark over "Belleek", also impressed Patent Office registration lozenge for 22nd February 1869, {the teapot 9.7cm high}
