A 19thC French mantel clock, by Japy Freres, the drum shape movement striking on a bell, the white enamel dial with black Roman numerals and painted with floral swags, pierced gilt hands, crested by gilt metal harp, doves and foliage, on a white marble base mounted with a spelter figure of Cupid, on toupie feet, 30cm high.
A 19th century Irish table top cabinet, the hinged lid inlaid with acorn and oak leaf boarder enclosing a panel depicting a country house, with inlaid hinged doors and panels depicting Muckross Abbey, Killarney Lakes and Ross Castle, Killarney Lakes, the interior decorated with Irish harp and shamrock inlaid decoration, containing three short draws on a shaped plinth base. 30cm wide

A pair of George II Irish silver oval salt cellars by John Hamilton, maker’s mark, Hibernia and crowned harp only, Dublin, circa 1740, with gadrooned rims, pierced sides and on ball-and-claw feet, engraved with a crest, 8.5cm (3.5in) wide, 192g (6.15 oz), with blue glass liners. Signed in blue ink across the centre of the image, with better contrast than is usually encountered on this image; Harpo Marx (1888-1964) American Film Comedian. Vintage signed and inscribed sepia postcard photograph, an amusing image of Marx in a head and shoulders pose at the entrance to a kennel, holding a small dog under each of his arms. Signed in blue ink across a light area at the head of the image. Together with a blue ink signature by Marx on a piece featuring a printed caricature of the comedian playing his harp. A late Georgian mahogany converted instrument case, the upper section with twin glazed doors enclosing shelves over a fall front secretaire, with applied lute and scrolling acanthus decoration over twin panelled concave doors flanked by cable twist pilaster columns to either side on hairy paw feet, bearing original label `Self Performing Harp and Flute invented and manufactured by Clementi & Company, 26 Cheapside, London`, 51" wide x 79" high.

Joseph Cullen mentioned in Jackson, 3rd edition, p. 638 for 1765. Alexander Richards, p. 637, 1753-4. The crest of KELLY / O’KELLY of Castle Kelly, co. Galway, Ireland. This mythical beast, part fox, part wolf and part eagle of uncertain origin, is known in heraldry as an Enfield. Provenance: Cornwallis

A Victorian silver oval half reeded teapot by Charles Stuart Harris, London 1888, with composition lobed finial and harp shaped handle, on a collet foot, engraved with a crest and legend ‘Nobilis est ira leonis’, 24.5cm, 9.75in long, 510g (16.6oz) gross. The crest and motto of this teapot belongs to the name of Stuart, kinsman of the Marquesses of Bute who use this crest and motto along with another crest and motto for CRICHTON. The first husband of Mrs Knatchbull-Hugessen (Ropley House) was Lord James Charles Crichton-Stuart, son of Sir John Crichton-Stuart, 5th Marquess of Bute and Lady Eileen Beatrice Forbes. In 1947 ownership of Dumfries House passed to Sir John Crichton-Stuart,5th Marquess of Bute and upon his death in 1956, the Dowager Marchioness of Bute returned to live at Dumfries House.
