One chair with an arm loose, requires easy resecuring. The odd screw missing from one of the castors. One front corner joint reglued. Cushions old and tatty, dirty and with numerous losses, as are the arm rests with many various tears and losses; all requiring reupholstering and covering.Seats are webbed rather than caned. AN OAK SETTLE INCORPORATING 17TH CENTURY ELEMENTSWith carved and inlaid panel back on bobbin turned supports, 109cm wide; 125cm highCondition Report: One 17th century oak panel with hole damage to the back. Otherwise in good structural condition. In my opinion this settle has been aged to give it an earlier appearance - although the three floral panels are 17th century. The base would benefit from a light wax.
A CHARLES II OAK SINGLE CHAIRWith double carved arch back over solid seat on bobbin turned supports the front rail stamped IB 49cm wide; 106cm highCondition report: The joints are relatively solid although there is a slight movement to the back when slight force is applied. The solid plank seat with a little shrinkage and a hole to the front left corner and other loss. Please see additional images on www.bellmans.co.uk.Otherwise the inevitable scuffs, rubbed areas, signs of wear, old chips and losses including a small section of split beaded moulding to the upright and the scroll finial of the upright on the left side. Wear to feet. Dirt and dust.

Repairs to two of the three pieces of wood in between the leg joints. Some deeper scratches on the legs and scuffs to outer edges of the feet.
