A pair of continental bisque figures, lady and gentleman both with green anchor mark to the base. Height +/- 42 cm. CONDITION REPORT: The male figure has a break across the wrist. The same arm has overpainting indicating some form of damage underneath. The thumb on the lower hand has been repaired. The female figure has had a break across the base of the ball of yarn and the bobbin is missing from her left hand. There is a chip to the bonnet. There are also nibbles around the base.

Diller, maker, Chandos Street, Covent Garden, with ring turned handles to the side and raised on squat bun feet, 36 cm. wide.

A French Walnut Double Stool, the top covered in a part fragment of a 17th century Flemish tapestry, with a close-nailed floral seat, on bobbin-turned legs joined by a peripheral stretcher 123cm by 39cm by 49cmProvenance: J. Zeberg Antiques, Belgium Tapestry seat reasonable, with very small holes and wear consistent with age. Framework polished and restored, rather flat in colour. Numerous old decay, particularly through the bobbin-turned legs. Other old decay around stretchers. One smaller stretcher replaced.

Two wide borders of bobbin lace, Genoa, Italy, 1st half 17th century, two matching scalloped borders in bobbin lace worked in dark cream linen thread, each 23 x 33.5 cm (9 x 13.25 ins), stitch-mounted one each side of a piece of pink satin twill, with old manuscript label attached 'Lent by Mrs Vacher', together with a quantity of other lace items, including lengths of cream and white Russian and Italian lace, one stitch-mounted to turquoise satin ribbon with a green knotted fringe to lower and side edges, 42 items of Maltese lace, e.g. stoles, collars, fichus, modesty panel, lappets, doilies, flounces, etc., Nanduti lace, and lace made in Greece, Cyprus, and TenerifeQTY: (68)NOTE:Mrs Vacher was the wife of Sydney Vacher (1854-1935), an architect, designer, and etcher. He donated many things to the V&A where he was considered a lace expert, along with Alan S. Cole.
