Y A Portuguese rosewood side or centre table, second half 19th century, decorated with ripple moulding throughout, the rectangular quarter veneered top above a pair of cushion moulded drawers, the disk and bobbin turned legs joined by a H-shaped stretcher, on turned bun feet, 73cm high, 110cm wide, 71cm deep Condition Report: Marks, scratches and abrasions commensurate with age and use, some old chips and splits. Some additional dark/ ink splashes and some ring marks to the top. some minor areas of slight lifting to veneer. The quarter veneer to the top is a very attractive feature. original surface, with some fading. The colour could be recoverable, darkened with attention by a restorer. It is particularly faded down one side but should take on a coloured wax/ treatment very well. Some 'tightening of the joints may be required All sides of the frieze are 'finished' i.e. could free stand in a room as the reverse frieze of the table has applied mouldings also. An Edwardian mahogany cross-banded pembroke table, the plain top with 'D' shape drop leaves cross-banded and ebony strung, raised on tapering reeded supports and brass castors, 72cm H, 113cm W (open) 111cm D., together with an Edwardian pine gypsy style table, the octagonal top raised on bobbin-turned supports, 59cm H, 55cm W. A 19th century treen beehive string box & bobbin holder, the lift off lid opening to reveal thimble and reel, raised on three short turned feet, 3in. (7.6cm.) high, together with a leather clad beach ball string box and a treen barrel version. (3) * Condition: The beehive in excellent condition, beach ball very good with sight wear to leather to base, the treen barrel with small split to top and brass side tap loose and needs attention.
