A SET OF FOUR REGENCY ROSEWOOD BAR BACK DINING CHAIRS (5)With bobbin turned decoration and a matching beech framed example, 45cm wide; 87cm highOld marks, scratches and small chips present to all in the set, three of the rosewood chairs do have old repairs present, one being to the two upright supports of back rest, another has a small repair to an upright column and sagging/broken cane seat to one side, the other chair has had repairs to the all four supports with cracks/old old glue still present, see additional images.
Three novelty fans with a mixed Brussels lace fan and black lace fan, a small language of love in flowers fan, a paper windmill advertising French Café fan, a carved cream Bakelite fan, a black and gilt, lace and sequin fan and a larger mother of pearl with a Brussels bobbin lace and Pointe de Gaz leaf, Brussels lace fan 43cm wide (5). Condition - the Brussels lace fan has one of pearl guards broken and bone stick broken at the back. The lace has a stain but is in good condition. The French advertising fan has become unglued and torn. The other three fans are in good condition.
A deep elaborately designed flounce of mid 19th century Brussels bobbin appliquéd lace on net, with finished lace ends, worked with an intricate floral border below large floral cartouches framed in similar motifs and all over spot design, 544cm long x 52cm deep. Condition - the netting has been very finely and professionally patched in places, possibly in the late 19th or early 20th century. On the top edge there are remnants of other netting with press studs which this flounce may have been attached to, these can easily be removed. There are various light marks, expected from use.
A length of 1740-1760 Italian, Milanese bobbin lace flounce, made from flat braiding or tapes, placed into scrolling patterns, attached to brides, made into a honeycomb mesh. 252cm long x 16cm deep. Condition - one small brown stain, which could be professionally removed, there are no breaks or mends. The lace feels unused
A 19th century five yard flounce of Brussels bobbin appliqué lace applied onto fine machine net, worked in a trailing floral design with an ornate border and sprig motifs, 457.5 cm long x 36cm deep. Condition - possibly never used or washed. There are various marks which can be removed and very minor flaws to the manufacture of the net.
A large section of an ornate 19th century Brussels bobbin lace wedding veil, with two finished edges and one cut edge together with 18th century and later needle lace, an Argentan and an Alencon trimming, possibly an 18th century Valenciennes needle lace lappet and a length of Mechlin trimming, lappet 92cm long (5). Condition - the Argentan lace has a small stain and minor breaks in the hand netting, the Valenciennes top edge has slight damage. The other laces appear to be good.
A white tape lace on net bed cover, a cream lace needle run panel, three Brussels bobbin lace collars, a lappet and two beaded tea pot covers, bed cover 200cm x 250cm. Condition - the bedcover has damage to the netting, all lace collars have some damage. The lace panel is part of a larger item.
A rare late 17th century (1670-80) Flemish bobbin lace canopy possibly for a baby’s bercelonette (cradle), made for a wealthy European high ranking family, possibly royalty, worked in three sections, into a canopy shape, using fine hand spun linen thread, intricately worked into highly ornate designed lace panels, then joined together to create a canopy. 162cm long x 132cm wide. Condition - there are two darker marks to the lace, that with professional conservation cleaning can be removed. There appears to be no visible damage or breakages to the lace, which suggests being so fine it has not been used greatly, if at all. As catalogued, generally in very good condition; small tear to one corner, as shown in 13th image, approx. 2cm; two cream-coloured stains (rather than marks) that are only seen during close inspection - one shown in 14th image, approx. 10x15cm.

The bobbin turned corner chair is generally sturdy with some slight wear to the finish.
