The long slanted bobbin turned arms adjoining ring turned legs united by peripheral stretchers and the front having two vertical spindles. 11½ ins (29 cms) in height 8½ ins ( 21.5 cms) wide, 7 ins (18 cms) deep.

The rectangular backs & seats adjoining plain arms with tasselled fringing, supported by bobbin turned and baluster posts. A Set of Four Late 17th /Early 18th Century Joined Oak Back Stools attributed to South Lancashire/North Cheshire Area. The narrow open backs having edge moulded dome top rails and square uprights with lobe cut finials. The planked seats on bobbin turned legs united by similarly turned front stretchers with plain stretchers to the side and rears. 41¾ ins (106 cms) in height, 16½ ins (42 cms) wide, 15½ ins (39.5 cms) deep.

The back having a nulled upper panel above a broad nulled muntin and gouge carved principal panel decorated with a six-petalled design enhanced with punchwork and set in a chip carved frame. The scroll end arms decorated with chip carving. The seat above a guilloche carved scallop-edged rail and standing on bobbin turned legs united by peripheral stretchers.
