A 17th century North Country bobbin Wainscot chair. With a shaped top rail, central carved lozenge and bobbin stretcher, height 104.5cm width 65cm depth 45cm.There are two patches on the seat and also a split.There is evidence of a certain amount of gluing on the underside, especially to the rear of the seat and on one of the joints.One arm has a little movement, but generally, the chair is sturdy, with little movement.There is a little historic woodworm visible on the back of the two horizontal rails, this is inactive.The carving on the back panel is crisp and well defined, possibly later?We have uploaded extra images to the website.

Victorian walnut Sutherland table, oval top, bobbin-turned supports, scrolled feet, 55x74cm, height 56cm.Condition report:When closed the depth of the top surface is 10.5cm, the top is a little marked and one water mark which has taken the varnish off, the legs are sound but scuffed and some paint splatter.
