A 19th century mahogany bobbin chair, with striped seat upholstery and green detail to the armrest upholstery, on two front ring turned legs and two carved, curved back legs67cm wide x 70cm deep x 102cm highsed condition, with marks and chips to the wood, particularly the armrests. Loose joints and armrest upholstery coming loose from the split, cracked wood. Stains to upholstery.Signs of woodworm.
A 19th century ebonised bobbin chair, upholstered with a William Morris style floral patterned fabric, with a sloped backrest72cm wide x 77cm deep x 87cm highUsed condition, with marks, dents and scratches consistent with age and wear. Signs of woodworm, the seat height 33cm. The front legs re-tipped. Castors now lacking, signs of woodworm over all the frame, especially the seat rail.
Two 17th century oak chairs, one having twin finials with a fielded panel below, turned legs and twist turned stretcher the other with a panelled back, turned legs and a bobbin turned stretcher, both chairs with decorative cut top rails and joined and pegged construction, 45 3/4in. (116.2cm.) and 43in. (109.2cm.) high. * Condition: First chair with repair to right upright below finial, age related splits to seat and replacement strip at rear of seat, split to splat panel, repair to rear leg. Chair two with age related splits to splat and seat, repair to crest and shrink crack to underside of bobbin turned stretcher.
A 17th century and later English oak gate leg oval table, with two demi lune drop leaves over a single frieze drawer, (alterations to top), supported by four fixed barley twist legs terminating in bobbin feet, united by a peripheral stretcher and having decorative barley twist gate legs on bobbin feet, 45¾ x 16in. (116.2 x 40.6cm.), 28¾ in. (73cm.) high, 45¾ x 57in. (116 x 144cm.) with leaves up. * Condition: Small area of water damage to top. Top has been replaced.
A matched set of six William IV oak Gothic revival side chairs possibly by Gillows of Lancaster the shallow lancet arched backs with bobbin-turned arcade splat above split can panel seats and later stuff over squabs and the seat rails with gothic tracery detail, supported by turned cluster column fore supports, stamped GW to the underside. 47 cm wide x 47 cm deep x 90 cm overall height, 50 cm height to the seat.Note:Five chairs are exact matches but one chair has differing seat rails and no split cane seat panel. The chair backs,bobbin turning finials and legs match on all six but as mentioned above one chair's seat rails differ.The chairs have some slight movement across the seat frames and would need firming up, no losses of turning or bobbin mouldings, no obvious breaks or bodge job repairs to the frames.One cane panel is sunken and with some damage at the edge.The planted on seats are in need of re-upholstery.for comparison of difference please see the extra images.

German bisque head character baby doll 'Poppy' by E Heubach circa 1918, with 5 piece composition body, closing blue eyes, painted lashes, and open mouth with 4 teeth. Doll is dressed in period long silk gown (hand embroidery to bodice and trimmed with bobbin lace), cotton lawn undergarment and silk lined lace net bonnet. Mould 300.3, height 18"/46cm. Lot includes copy of photo of doll circa 1918 with interesting provenance notes from vendor

Doll is dressed in period clothes comprising white cotton dress trimmed with broderie anglais, pin tucks and bobbin lace, cotton lawn petticoat, lace net shawl, socks and laced boots. Height 28"/71cm
