A 19th/20th Century oak and leather high back hall or porters chairThe studded leather wing backs above two channelled downswept arms with scroll terminals each supported on barley twist supports above an upholstered leather studded seat over conforming barley twist supports with bobbin turned and block stretchers raised on ball feet with brass castors, 54x118x63cms CONDITION REPORT: Tear (2") heavily scuffed and several 'pin' holes in the rear of the chair. Seat 'crazed' but not split. Hessian? over webbing torn/loose. Webbing springs OK. One or two springs pushing through. Signs of restoration on cross stretcher.
A 17th Century and later carved oak coffer on standThe rectangular hinged top concealing a fitted candle box above a frieze carved with a foliate roundel design and three panels each carved with heart shaped foliate lozenges, the twin panelled sides similarly carved raised on a carved stand with ring turned baluster uprights, block supports with bobbin and ring turned cross stretcher, bun feet, 110 x 101 x 54cm.

An antique oak table, rectangular, with bobbin turned supports and low stretchers. Length 60 cm. CONDITION REPORT: This is in generally good condition and of good colour. It has however been altered and is probably part of a larger piece of furniture. There is evidence of some woodworm but this is old and long gone.
A George III inlaid workbox, with thimble, bobbin and scissors to lid and with book form front. Width 25 cm (see illustration). CONDITION REPORT: The box is in generally very good condition with no damage, repairs or restoration. The front right hand corner of the book form top is slightly sprung from the rectangular section of the lid. There is no movement here simply a small gap between the two sections of wood. The interior is red baize lined and there are no compartments.
