A James II oak side table late 17th century, with one short drawer, with bobbin turned legs, 69cm wide46cm deep66.5cm highCondition ReportWe are not aware of the restoration history prior to consignment. However, the top appears to of the time, with dowels protruding in places from the top. The shaped apron is not one piece of wood and is screwed together (with old screws) , this is probably an 18th century addition. There are some newer pieces of wood used as supports bracing the top edge. The feet are with some historic flight holes and the legs look to be original. Knocks and wear throughout, commensurate with age. The brass handle later. Please see additional images.

An early 20th century oak longcase clock with bobbin twist columns to the removable hood, and mahogany and maple inlay and panels to the case. The clock has a key wound 8 day striking movement with a date indicator, second hand and a face painted with flowers. With weights and pendulum. This clock is untested and as found.
A Regency style ebonised and parcel gilt pier mirror, 19th century, with foliate scroll and anthemion frieze above bobbin-turned pilasters, bevelled glass plate94.5 x 63cmBevelled plate seems original to the frame. Detail to the filet at the base of the mirror is a different profile to the other three sides and there is a slightly different finish to the gilding and paint suggesting this has been replaced. Corner damaged to the base of the column on the right hand side with missing area. Top right ball may have been reattached as its in slightly different place to the other side.
An oak and fruitwood panelled chest of drawers, late 17th century, with four long drawers all with fielded panels, ring handles and with beaded decoration, raised on turned feet105 x 103 x 61cmSome marks to top and further light wear overall commensurate with age and use. One section of moulding to one of the lower drawers detached but present. Some shrinkage to bases of drawers. Drawers work well. Otherwise in general good condition.see further images and please note the following:there is old worm damage to much of the interior (shown) and the rear of the drawers have been replaced, (but likely not in the last 75 years). Likely that the feet have been replaced and not original, as is common for pieces of this date. Small filet piece in the top where the planks have separated, and these have been pegged, likely an old restoration. Colour is warm chestnut brown, good and even overall, slightly paler over the bobbin turned sections on the front.Second drawer has section on front which has some play but is present (shown) Third drawer has loose piece of moulding - separate but present in the drawer (shown), there is an old repair to the front of the left hand panel (shown)
A massive probably Ceylonese Four Poster Bed retailed by Liberty of London, with carved and pierced headboard tapering spiral twist columns bellow a moulded canopy, the footboard with turned bobbin gallery, supported by massive turned columns, bearing a Liberty shipping label 182 cm overall width x 217 cm overall length x 235 cm overall height.Good order throughout.
An unusual Regency Mahogany Secretaire cabinet in the manner of Gillows of Lancaster, the top drawer sliding on gilt brass mechanical stays to reveal an interior of drawers, pigeon holes, the fall with leathered writing surfaces concealing further storage below, the base fitted a pair of panel doors with arched panels, with bobbin and split reel mouldings throughout, over turned bun feet. 78 cm wide x 35 cm deep x 105 cm overall height, 70 cm knee room below fall.A patch to the front moulding, slight twist on the fall, but it still locks as it should.A slight twist on the right hand door. Top, sides and doors are split freeGenerally in n good "Antique" order.
A well-drawn Regency mahogany fold-over "D" shaped gaming table with inlaid parquet fan-shaped boss, rosewood banding and split bobbin moulded edge, above inverted crescent support and concave sub base with acanthus capped haunched sabre legs with brass lion's paw castors. 90 cm long x 44 cm deep x 72 cm overall height.

HANGING BOBBIN. A late 19th century turned bone, 'Hanging' lace bobbin, commemorating the death by hanging of 'W. Bull, Hung 1871'. Note: William Bull murdered Sarah Marshall on 29th November 1870 in her one-roomed cottage in Little Staughton, Bedford. He was hung on Monday, April 3rd 1871 within the walls of Bedford Prison at 8.00am. Condition Report: Very good.
