VICTORIAN ROSEWOOD WHATNOT the carved mirror back above five shaped shelves of waterfall design with barley twist and bobbin turned supports, carved foliate pierced frieze standing on scroll carved supports. 117 x 40 x 195cm approx. (B.P. 21% + VAT) Very dry and faded with age. Stains and marks to the shelves. However appearing structurally sound. Some losses to veneer on the shaped shelves. Normal wear commensurate with age.

A late 19th century Morris-style Aesthetic Movement wooden armchair having rush seat and turned tapering legs united by a high front stretcher with bobbin turningsGenerally very good, the rush seat seems OK. Front legs and the front rail have sustained scratching, scuffs commensurate with age. The chair appears to be tight overall with some new screws holding the side rails in where the arms go into the rush seat and also possibly at the back and sides of the rails. The arms appear a nice colour where they have been handled many times over the years. All in all a fairly honest chair.
