Parkinson & Bouts, a William IV mahogany lyre-shaped clock with a double fusee, five pillar movement striking the hours on a bell, the seven-inch round painted dial having black Roman numerals, blued steel hands and signed `Parkinson & Bouts, London`, the mahogany lyre shaped case having applied carved foliate decoration, complete with matching bracket, height: 41cm. * Parkinson and David Bouts are recorded as working at 59, Gracechurch Street, London from circa 1851 until the death of Bouts in 1883 aged sixty-one.
Thomas Eastland, London, an ebonised quarter-chiming bell-top bracket clock, the eight-day duration, triple-fusee, seven-pillar movement with verge escapement striking the quarter hours on six bells and the hour on a further bell, the backplate engraved with floral and rococo decoration and signed `Thos. Eastland, London`, the eight-inch arched brass dial having a raised silvered chapter ring engraved with black Roman numerals and Arabic outer five-minute markings, the matted dial centre having a date aperture and false pendulum aperture with a cartouche above engraved with the maker`s name `Thos Eastland, London`, with cast floral & rococo spandrels to the four corners and decorative blued steel hands, with a `strike/silent` dial to the arch, the ebonised bell-top case with cast-brass caryatid mounts to the canted corners, brass handles to the sides, pineapple finials to the top four corners and case top and standing on cast decorative bracket feet, height: 62cm *Thomas Eastland is recorded as working in London from circa 1744 until at least 1751.
